  I courted my girlfriend up at Crown Point back in the late 60s. This might have been quite distracting if it had been there back then 😳 Great work for a forward thinking town though. 👍

  Tebay is pronounced 'tee-bay', not 'ti - BAY'. My grandmother lived there when I visited in the 1950s. She lived on Chapel Terrace. As children we used to check off engine numbers. They were wonderful peaceful days.

Do not be tempted to visit this beautiful spot after dark because as well as losing the beautiful views to be had looking out over miles of wonderful Lancashire countryside, after dark you are very likely to encounter people who have travelled far miles around to indulge in the pastime known as “dogging”.
