Thank you this was extremely helpful! However, Which tests are required when submitting an application? Since AS and A level grades aren’t released until after the due, is it possible to use GCSE and predicted AS level grades instead when applying?
Hello if i got straight B in OLEVELS but good grades in Alevels will able to apply in us university
No....Russell group discriminate against superior independent schools pupils which is damaging to these universities.
Don’t study engineering in the UK.
Why
Yes, I must second the question… why?
I Wana get art an college and I'm in Saudi Arabia
I'm a Sri Lankan student. Can l get into an American university with Edexcel IAL ?

The so called redbrick universities are among the most prestigious institutions in the UK and in the QS ranking with entry qualifications very similar to those for Oxford and Cambridge. The High Flyers' annual report by the 100 top employers in the UK places several redbrick universities above both Oxford and Cambridge graduates for the capabilities of their graduates. These are the Universities of Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Warwick, Nottingham and Sheffield. Along with Oxford & Cambridge, all the above universities are members of the UK's elite Russell Group of universities. They are all in the QS top hundred universities in the world (out of 27,000 universities globally) . Also, check out the QS world employment rankings for how sought after these graduates are by global employers. For example the University of Bristol is 55 in the world academic table but 49 in the QS employability rankings. The University of Leeds is 75 in the world academic rankings but 51 in the QS global employment rankings. These employment rankings are probably even more important than the academic rankings.
You must take math, and you can take 2 science courses in addition.
Just become royal family of Britain, then you would be able to get into eton without doing anything! haha
helped alot
Are there discussions about pursuing a Master of Science program at UCL after completing a bachelor's degree from a university outside the UK, and is there any chance for a scholarship opportunity?
If I got 9766544 which is not really good results because I had health issues during this time should I retake the 3 subjects in which I got 445 or not considering the fact I am doing the IB and I am expected to get a high score. That would add me lots of work if I was to retake the three worst GCSEs and since IB is stressful enough itself Idk what to do. Should I retake my GCSE or no ?
Don’t IB is more significant to universities than gcse anyway
Great discussion, thank you both.
if i want to go to us after 12th but do not want to study extra subjects can i take a levels is a levels respected by the American universities?(i am an american citizen studying and living in india)
To anyone thinking of going, don't! As America is an awful country that will leave you with barely any holidays, they only get like two weeks off a year! (when your working) Also it'll leave you broke as they have zero infrastructure so you'll have to buy a car, you all know about their health insurance so yeah unless your a millionaire stay away from that failed state
Great video
I am currently living in Singapore and am doing IGCSE. Should I stay in Singapore and complete IB in a few years or move to back to England for A levels? Some people say that Oxbridge prefer students that have come from different backgrounds. Could staying in Singapore give me an advantage? Im interested in studying law or economics at university. What would you recommend?
Hello! I was just wondering if learning from youtube tutorials and doing projects, finally putting them into a github repo to showcase in an application is possible and useful Because I've done quite a lot of machine learning and deep learning studies, but I haven't tried something like coursera yet (though I planned to do it in the future) It would be really helpful if someone could help me out :)
Very good elaboration

Hey! Will applying to UK universities during the month of November affect my chances for a scholarship?
Hello, the month you apply in shouldn’t affect your scholarship chances! But watch out for the deadlines of individual scholarships
Keep up the good work
🤝
I’m taking 3 A levels(CIE) including all sciences, along with 2 AS courses in English and Maths. Are more in depth than IB or is it more or less the same?
A-levels tend to go more in depth for each subject, however it can vary
Thank you this was really helpful!
Hi, just found your video. Hope you still can reply to this. Are all universities across UK and Europe accept A levels and IB ? Which one is preferable there specifically ?
Yes a majority of the should accept them without a problem, preferences can vary with different universities
tysm!
For India which one is preferable?
There isn’t really a preference by country
where dmo u wanna go?
thank you for sharing & organising!
I am an Indian student who was born in India but has completed all of my secondary education and college studies in the United Kingdom. I have achieved qualifications such as GCSE Maths and English with a grade 4, as well as a Level 2 BTEC Extended Certificate with merit. Additionally, I have successfully completed a two-year Level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate program with merit. Given my educational background and extensive study experience in the UK, I would like to understand whether I am required to take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and/or the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) for undergraduate admission at the University of Texas at Austin. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with specific information regarding the language proficiency requirements for students in my situation.
Hello, this can be at the discretion of the university, we recommend you email the university itself and please keep in mind that test requirements can chance from year to year.
Thnx dear
Great
Very Insightful.
Thank you!
bro i searched for
What are the proffered GCSE grades that US Universities are looking for?
That depends on the university and major, I’d recommend you email the university directly
So is it possible to get into American Uni with GCSEs, but not A-Levels? And / or American Community College with GCSEs, but not A-Levels?
Yes it’s possible
so calm. i have decided to study history. im in Africa. Appreciate this video. i dont have any friend outside. can i be a friend
I've often thought that the non oxbridge RG unis are sort of comparable to the 'state' universities in the USA. They tend to be very respected, if not as prestigious as the Ivy League. But very much well regarded as good quality education institions. Im not saying every 'state' university necessarily.
How is it important for overseas student to provide reference ? Thx
For many UK universities it plays a vital role
Hello, I am currently doing my IGCSE's although I am not from UK. The question is that will American universities look at my IGCSE official grades only or also check with my internal assessment transcripts? I hope you got the question. I would be grateful if you reply Regards
Hello, that depends on university, they can likely do both
@@aandjschool Thanks
Thanks for the info mate
Happy to help!
That was so helpful thank you!
Happy to help!!!
Really helpful to hear this experience, I think taking the time to explore other work and think about what I want to do at uni is the right choice for me but my teachers don’t bother talking about these other options! Thanks guys!!!
