i was a little miffed when signing up for a government website (DHS or something) it immediately asked me 'do you recognize this address?' and a few of my former address' were listed BEFORE I EVEN LOGED IN FOR THE FIRST TIME... ugh. I know my information is out there but seriously, that's like a dumb-stick to the back of my head :/.

A scammer called me impersonating google tech support. Then another scammer called me impersonating Coinbase tech support. He told me to click on the cloud icon. He had access to my google account. Clicking on the cloud icon allowed him access to my Coinbase account. I was lucky I didn't lose my crypto.
I work in cybersecurity. Here are some other tips that I can give all of you: Practice basic operatinal security (OPSEC). 1. Don't post any sensitive information on any of your social media platforms such as where you live, where you're traveling to, where you work and your phone number. Most social networking platforms will publicly present this information that you are willing to provide, meaning that literally anyone can see this information. 2. When traveling, either for business or leisure, don't post about where you're going or what you're going to do until after you return home from your trip. As stated before, this information becomes public and anyone can see it and determine where you are and where you're going. 3. When taking and posting photos or videos, be cognizant of where you take them and what's shown in your photos/videos. If on business or on a military deployment, DO NOT take photos or videos of any recognizable or identifiable structures or locations. Additionally, TURN OFF YOUR GEOTAGGING when taking photos/videos, uploading photos/videos online and/or sending photos/videos to your friends and family via messanger or texting apps. (I know you guys LOVE using TikTok and Snapchat. Please be aware of what I stated above!) 4. When using Facebook, turn off the check-in feature. This feature automatically notifies your Facebook friends of places that you've been to that have public wifi connections that your phone has pinged, such as fast food restaurants and even hospitals and clinics. BEWARE OF THIS FEATURE! Stalkers often use this feature to track people!

I’m not getting sent any authentic codes something is seriously wrong they’re going back to the early days when I had different passwords and different names. I this is really ridiculous and I can’t get to Apple. I’ve been speaking to Apple since 2020. iOS 17.5 I bought $75 MiFi and C port compatible for ipadpro 12x9 the mifi broke off AFTER 30 days- I called customer service they gave me a bogus phone number to call or to chat from Amazon app and I was told 79 $82 would be back in my account within five days. I got hacked lost over $2500. Had to get a 20 year bank account changed, and nobody did anything to help me. I have the one for the iPhone 5NfC $55 also and I was supposed to send back as I have YubiKey five CI that’s with Seaport on one side of My5 on the other and then the third is UB Key 5C. never did. I think the $75 one would break off in my phone. What do you suggest because nobody at Amazon can help the help person that they synced me too a hacker how can I be?

I got the tiniest Yubikey because it looked so cool and inconspicuous pushed into the side of my MacBook but it seems I can't use it because the part that sticks out is so tiny that nothing happens when I try to touch it, so I also bought the flat one the sticks out further but it seems to jiggle around and get knocked askew when I press on it. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm past the return period. I want to make these work since they seem to be the best solution, although I am surprised to not find most financial sites on the list which is the main thing most people want to connect.. Any suggestions?

My Yubikey only stores 5 passkeys, Token2 stores 300. Still a strange low limit
The problem is that the password problem still exists. If you lose your passkey you must reauthenticate to the service which generally requires your user name and password. The account reset process, if you don’t have those, can become the weak link, especially if the designers of that process (which is NOT standardized) didn’t give enough or proper consideration of all the security details.
Honestly if you're ALREADY using a browser extension based PW manager like Bitwarden or 1Password then the "speed" & "ease" of logging in w/ passkeys (which is often cited as major reasons for using passkeys) is totally negated. Therefore the only real advantage of passkeys is they aren't phishable... but b/c NO SITES will allow you to create an account w/o a password, or allow you to delete your PW after creating a passkey, the whole "100% Passwordless future" is a pipedream. My biggest gripe with passkeys is they're a nightmare to manage... Passkeys are CONSTANTLY getting created AUTOMATICALLY in the background and being saved locally on various devices (phones/tablets in Android KNOX, laptop/desktop in TPM chip, iOS in the Secure Enclave) and Sometimes or Sometimes NOT cloud synced to Google Passwords or iCloud Keychain). It's just SUPER CONFUSIONING keeping track of how many passkeys exist and where each is stored! With passwords it's just dead simple.... you have a SINGLE cross-platform password manager that stores your UNIQUE passwords & 2FA codes across all devices. It's dead simple.
