I AM Catholic

I AM Catholic

A rising Catholic media network featuring hundreds of creators
Taking its name from the two patrons of the internet, Isidore Acutis Media is an apostolate that seeks to connect and sponsor the next generation of Catholic creators, launching a new Catholic renaissance! The home of a popular podcast, we create unique videos, host unique events, and feature some of today's best speakers, including Fr. Mike Schmitz, Bishop Robert Barron, Scott Hahn, and more.
The goal of our media is to synthesize the good things about the age of the internet, namely the ability for everyone to have a voice and the fact that more people than ever before can be involved in content creation, with the good things about the former age of media, such as curated and well-produced content.
We are a true multimedia apostolate, having branches of video, writing, and music.
May God use this apostolate for good and for evangelization, amen!
May God bless you!

I think 3) & 4) are good ideas for most people. These seem to be a discipline for undisciplined people. Other than those people this regiment appears to be an attempt at some type of mechanistic spirituality, which I am dubious of. Spirituality is not punching a clock. I just started out reading "Letters from the Holy Ground," today which starts out: "You can't hurry holiness. Holiness takes time."

The incense that is mentioned in these writings are not literal. Obviously the sacrifice Eusebius mentions is not literal, there is no sacrifice offered such as the Jews and Pagans did, but our sacrifice is our commitment to righteous living and the partaking of Christ's sacrifice in the Eucharist. The incense mentioned is a metaphor for prayer, that is how the Early church used the term incense. St. Augustine of Hippo writes sometime in the late 300's: The Pagans accordingly think it right to worship God with altars, and shrines, and images, and sacrifices, and incense. Here also my practice differs entirely from theirs: for I look upon myself as a reasonable temple of God, if I am worthy to be so; and I consider Christ his Son as the living image of his living majesty; and I hold a mind well cultivated to be the true altar, and pure and simple prayers to be the true way of paying divine honors and of offering sacrifices. Is this being a schism of the Pagans? Here he clearly mentions that incense is a common tool used by the pagans in worship, and that the way christians worship God is entirely different for these reasons. The person Augustine is addressing is a man named Faustus, who was a Manchaean Bishop, a heretical sect and Faustus replies: Every one must see the folly of your boasting of superiority to the Pagans because they use altars and temples, images and sacrifices and incense, in the worship of God, which you do not. This is just one example, the early church is filled with statements like this. Here is Barnabas in the Epistle of Barnabas also asserting that Christians DO NOT use incense in worship, and that this was a Jewish practice which has been abolished: Since, therefore, the days are evil, and Satan possesses the power of this world, we ought to give heed to ourselves, and diligently inquire into the ordinances of the Lord. Fear and patience, then, are helpers of our faith; and long-suffering and continence are things which fight on our side. While these remain pure in what respects the Lord, Wisdom, Understanding, Science, and Knowledge rejoice along with them. For He has revealed to us by all the prophets that He needs neither sacrifices, nor burnt-offerings, nor oblations, saying thus, " What is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me, says the Lord? I am full of burnt-offerings, and desire not the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats, not when you come to appear before Me: for who has required these things at your hands? Tread no more My courts, not though you bring with you fine flour. Incense is a vain abomination unto Me, and your new moons and sabbaths I cannot endure. " He has therefore abolished these things, that the new law of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is without the yoke of necessity, might have a human oblation. - Epistle of Barnabas around 70 AD I say this not as an anti-catholic, but as someone who has come to reject protestantism and was searching for God's true church. I was hopeful that I could find this either in the Catholic or Orthodox church, but when you read the earliest writings of the Fathers, it is abundantly clear that both of these branches have strayed and withered away. God bless you in your spiritual journey.

Can someone please help me grasp why God will allow Satanic ritual abuse (SRA)? Seriously, it is a MASSIVE PROBLEM, and their are people in these diabolical cults who have ilfritated our police force, government, hospitals, and yes, GPs, teachers, and anyone. I have read accounts of children being sacrificed, children sacrificing other children, some of them alive, and going through HORRENDOUS evil torment. Children born into satanic families. Can someone PLEASE explain why God allows that to innocent victims? STA is on the rise!!!!!

It didn't make us think of the dangers of communism , not sure how you got there , brutality is not a `communist `attribute . What about the 26million civilians killed by USA since ww2 on anti left activities . How on earth can you be a Catholic also ! Tony blair and catholic church abuses not enough for you ? Ah faith !

I read one volume of Gulag Archipelago, and was fascinated with Solzhenitsyn’s personality. I found myself laughing periodically and then wondering if I should be laughing. Thank you for this clip where the author mentions S.’s sense of humor. I remember at the end of the book, thinking it would be wonderful going out to lunch with him, to find out if he was as funny as I thought he might be. I will look for the rest of this interesting interview.

40:16 I relate very much to what the young monk says here about gut reactions. My thought: Instead of just treating such reactions as flaws that we work to eliminate, perhaps we could pray to understand better the stirring of the holy spirit in us that caused us to react like that. Often, I am convinced, even reactions that are very uncharitable at surface level, were born out of love, so to say. Too many people are afraid of their emotions, especially anger, so instead of working against and demonizing (often just alienating ourselves even more from who we are in Christ) perhaps we could look at ourselves and each other with charity and patience, not in order to “fix” the behavior but in order to love and accept it. Perhaps the true evil lies in seeing “unvirtuous” behaviors as flaws? Perhaps that is one way in which the Devil works to let us apply a false image of ourselves in which we create a false division of “good sides/behaviors” and “bad sides/behaviors”.

POPE BENEDICT XVI: “Again and again, the very notion of saints has been caricatured and distorted, as if to be holy meant to be remote from the world, naive and joyless. Often it is thought that a saint has to be someone with great ascetic and moral achievements, who might well be revered, but could never be imitated in our own lives. How false and discouraging this opinion is! There is no saint, apart from the Blessed Virgin Mary, who has not also known sin, who has never fallen.” ST. MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA: “Saints are only sinners who keep trying.”

Jordan Peterson is so popular today among a certain section of people. Please see what Noam Chomsky says about Peterson. Too many people have delegated their thinking out to other people and because they have NO vision or no guiding light, they cling to whatever blows in the wind and then more and more people fear being left behind so they run to join up as well.
