Or change the pump and belt like I did. Not sure I actually needed to do both! Oh well least I now know I have a good pump.

Doesn’t stop 12v direct to the starter. Nice to stop opportunists.

Another great, comprehensive video. I switched to LEDs a couple months ago but for the life of me, can't get the fog light on! Tried all the beam and switch combinations but nothing. The only time it worked was when I had my friend hold the wires and he got shocked! Any ideas?
@LRArchive3 ай бұрын
These units sometimes switch the polarity so if the wires are white and black then black is positive.

Wish they made a model for sunroofs, and for this who don't have the light or want an old fashioned stereo system,. I'd like just shelving space up there. Thanks for the video!

Looks poorly designed for serious overlanding with a lot of vibrations imho. Mounts on the chassis and body need to be longer to spread out the stress, my longer longer ones are ripping the body work apart. Seems very heavy when it doesn't have to be, linkage looks dodgy/interesting. Welding looks horrible... But the proof is in the. pudding, take it for a spin around Africa for 5 years and let us know how it goes ;-)

One advice my boss gave me when i removed a steering wheel for the first time, was to loosen the bolt so it is still on thread but has some play to the steering wheel. It was very seized but I could just pull it off and the nut held it back so it wouldn`t hit my face ;)

Nice vid. Any idea if this can be done on a disco3 dash? Mines badly scratched. I’m wondering how to get around the passenger airbag?
@LRArchive3 ай бұрын
Don't think so . The airbag would be an issue.

I have installed a kill switch in my Wrangler, linked to the fuel pump, when off, the ignition will crank but the engine won't start, thief think the car is down for some reason and leave.

I'm not sure why, but my truck only runs when the 'Heated Seat' switch is in the on position... ;-)

Good video. Obviously, this security measure is not going to stop a determined thief who knows Land Rovers and has decided your vehicle will go. But what you _are_ doing is slowing the thief down. I think it's very powerful to couple that with a good CCTV system at your home. I have mine rigged that if a person is detected, and it's well into the night time, then my phone has it's volume turned up, a loud notification to wake me up, and then the volume is returned back to normal. It's a really nice automation. Now, does that mean I _occasionally_ get woken up for nothing? Yes. But it is _very_ occasionally. And if the day ever comes where I get woken up to the sight of shenanigans going on over the CCTV, I will definitely appreciate the extra time that these sorts of countermeasures will give me to get out to the front. But you do need to be realistic about it also. These countermeasures will not _stop_ your vehicle being stolen by a determined thief. They will deter the opportunist, and buy you time to respond if it's a sophisticated thief.
