    Darn. Trail shoulder down! Tidy like. Playing my favorite playing partner Monday at Shadow Mountain, Cranbrook BC. Going to practice this as I'm alway over with the shoulder. Tks

    Good video. I have recently been struggling with structure in the arms and just decided to play straight lead arm on the back swing, straight trail arm downswing. Creates a very nice even balanced swing

    Just stumbled onto this video. I think I discovered this incidentally yesterday. I was trying to get a big turn in backswing and follow through. For some reason I could feel myself straightening the arms, even though my intention was big turn. Had this swing thought for the second half of the round. Everything I hit started to be basically a rope to my target. I was waiting for it to not work anymore but it never stopped working. I wasn’t thinking about swing path anymore and it felt so free. Before this change, on the front nine, I shot 5 over. After this change, on the back nine, I shot even. And that was with 2 missed birdie putts inside 6 feet. The funny thing is, I’ve tried your idea before, but perhaps I wasn’t doing it right, because the result weren’t there, so I gave up. But I think my big turn thought, for whatever reason, caused me to have that connection you speak of, probably because my arms would flop over my shoulder if I didn’t straighten them, when I’m attempting to turn more.

    Playing Mizuno 221 blades I was expecting the i230 to be more appealing but…..the i530 is a much better looking iron and the distance advantage is fantastic. A real competitor to the Mizuno 245

    As an 83 old player with a swing speed probably in the low 70’s I find that the higher the drive the more the ball drops out of the sky. When I hit a solid lower drive I get more distance because of the roll. I think these computers should measure the descent angle as a steep one will give you minimum roll, and for me a shorter drive.

  • @MatthewGalleyGolf

    I’ve got the Ping i530’s in my bag. I wanted a more forgiving iron and also I wanted to slow my swing speed down so the stronger lofts mean I don’t lose distance. Played a couple of rounds with them and I love them. ⛳️👍🏼

    Did you not include the T200 because they didn't get an update this year? I certainly understand why you'd limit yourself, and I play the P790 2021 myself, but they'd definitely fit well into this section.

    I recently received my dynapower forged irons. I hit about a bucket and a half of balls prior to the round and that was it, so I was a little nervous. It was some of the best ball striking I've done on a golf course, it's so crazy how many different shots I'm able to play. I just came out of a game forgiveness iron and I've never played a iron with this sort of workability. I'm definitely not ready for blades, but these are perfect for me and I can't believe how great they feel to hit. I finally understand what the word buttery means

    Since the P770s had the better dispersion that you preferred, if the P770 had the same lofts as the ZX7s, would you recommend the P770. I'm looking at both of these clubs, but I like the looks and size of the P770 a little more.

    I would take the i530 with retro lofts. The number on the club is irrelevant. Ping has always produced clubs with consistent yardage gaps between clubs. As a lower handicap player I want to know I have a bag of clubs that cover all the yardages not the irons I can brag about hitting my 7 iron 190 yards.

  • @MatthewGalleyGolf
    @MatthewGalleyGolfАй бұрын

    They are so good and retro lofts would help gap the wedges

  • @thomasuden9508

    Appreciate the test, however people with your swing speed will not be playing these clubs. Also the 2 mph faster swing speed for G730 makes the distance results questionable. Might I suggest hitting both clubs at lower speed, and taking the 5 closest to 80 mph for each? Thanks again.
