I just notice the cygnets would sometimes raise their leg above water, is that normal behaviour? 😯

  • @donaldhalliday818

Yes, quite normal. Adults do it too.

One month!!! They’re almost as big as the adult ducks! Also I love how the one cygnet got there well before the others, but somehow missed his chance to eat first

Я там живу,где летом светлы ночи, Кукушки вторят этой красоте, Живу там,где снег белый-белый очень И где гнездовья белых лебедей.(Из песни"Край белых лебедей".Слова и музыка Евдокии Рочевой)

Truly, the most amazing, beautiful experience to witness on our planet, animals or humans. The couple stay together for life; the male helps the female in every way. He helps sit on the nest; helps build the nest, guards the family, and is a stud for his mate. There is just no comparison. Can you imagine in today's world, this experience of long time staying power and devotion taking place for a human family unit?? Wow!

That's what I literally done during when my country was in lockdown in Feb 2021! Hung out with mute juvenile swans and their parents and fed them seeds, lettuce, corn and lettuce.
