    I want to relax again my hair really thrived. Unfortunately my hair holds heats and sweats so my silk press don’t last long at all 😢 so I’m for sure going back to the creamy crack.

    Babe! New subscriber - I just watched your video on silk pressing. I literally have a son & daughter. I had them at 21 & 23. YES, two is enough! Second, you will neverrrrrr need to relax your hair. Your nails and hair will grow like CRAZYYYY. Post partum, my hair was like a lions mane! I just did protective styles my whole pregnancy because 1. I was not trying to straighten my hair (buns weren’t doing it) 2. I know I relax my hair and like you, I did not want to transfer that product to my kids. I would say don’t worry about the relaxing now. You’re not pregnant yet but just do protective styles while you are pregnant and enjoy the ride ❤

    I saw you going natural from miles away tbh because you flat iron your hair alottt & I feel like it’s too much heat for relaxed hair ; causes breakage but do you boo ! I’m in two minds about my relaxed hair now . Just did a really short bob .. idk if imma grow it out or go natural

    This is very sensible. I've seen a lot of people have great success with the straight natural life and also be moms. Also if you want to teach the men to love natural hair, we need to show them from the time they are little boys that natural hair (curly or straight) is beautiful.

    I appreciate your honesty about this topic. Because it shows how hair is one of those things we can change at any time. It's understandable, I've only been relaxed for 1year after being natural for 10 years. And since we started the braid challenge, I said I might go back natural. Do what works for you and your body! I'm here for all content either way! ❤

    As someone who has been both relaxed and a straight natural - my hair thrived with BOTH. It's all about routine. I'm currently a straight natural, 7 months post relaxer and I looove transitioning to straight hair. I just love the way straight hair looks when natural and I love not having to rely on going to the salon for a retouch or making sure I don't scratch my scalp leading up to it. It's freedom.

    Girl….you’re good. People be tripp’n too much. I stopped relaxing my hair when pregnant. I wasn’t taking ANY chances with my unborn child. Had a girl and that encouraged me to stay natural. That was 17 years ago and she is relaxer free as well. Im a straight natural and she is a curly natural. Best decision I ever made. I don’t regret it at ALL.

    I relaxed my hair n didn’t know I was pregnant it a be ok but i definitely was like u girl. I did so much research I had a 3d binder full of research. I didn’t relax again until til after I had him. You can over plan n something still happens with the baby but the fact ur educating urself and trying to change the situation before it happens to prevent it is already showing me ur gonna be a grate mommy when the time comes. And I also if I have a girl will not relax her hair until prom day. Especially with everything going on in today’s society and chemistry industry. I’ve even dyed my son’s hair twice his whole life he’s 10 n both times I chopped it off 😂😂😂. I did it bc he wanted it n I didn’t get to as a kid but the older I get I’m like no I don’t want any future complications to happen to ur body without knowing willingly bc it’s my fault. I learned my hair @ 14 but even then it was too late my mom let my aunties who had salons damage my hair 🤦🏾‍♀️. Crazy bc no matter what I do to my hair my curl pattern comes back bc it’s so coursed n coil’y. I just wouldn’t put box braids dye wigs tracks none of that in her hair until she’s like 14 nails makeup etc bc these lil girls in lace makeup n nails and be 7 yrs old I can’t😂😂😂. I hated my mom would let me play in makeup n dress up like a princess but I couldn’t go out the house with it and she wonder why I became a tomboy n likes sports not dolls 😂😂😂😂. So I get everything u saying girl the ins n outs of it all anywho do u ur way n ur babies gone be ok boy or girl. ❤

    As someone who was natural for 10 years and relaxed their hair 5 months ago… I’m going back natural. I have 3 different textures, my hair is coarse and thick both natural and relaxed. There are pros and cons to both. If I were you I would transition and go natural sooner than later. I’ve only been relaxed for 5 months and I realized that I could have stayed and kept doing my weekly twist outs. Whether relaxed or natural our hair takes time and work. Life seemed easier with my natural hair and now my relaxed hair has become somewhat of a burden to me. I’ve even postponed getting back in the gym because I sweat a lot and my hair is getting in the way of that 😩 I’m going back natural it’s more suitable for my lifestyle.

Good for u girl... I laughed when I saw this title, because I am thinking the same thing but at the same time I wonder should I just keep relaxing? Lol. We just need to remember patient is the key... I think it’s a good idea for you to start leaving relaxers alone now. Because you don’t know how hormonal you will be with your pregnancies. I was completely different emotionally with all 3 of my pregnancies. You don’t wanna wake up and not know what to do with your hair and start crying. Which may not happen at all. You may be super happy all the time. But it least this way you’ll be prepared. But whatever you choose will be right for you.😊

    I love you so much for being team “movement, bounce, and shake.” Because if I take the time to apply 300-something degrees of heat in little half inch sections all for it to be ruined by oils and butters, why would I press it in the first place? I need the bounce. The problem is, my hair hasn’t been bouncing lately. I use less product and my hair is more dry. When I use more product my hair is stiff. 😒

    This is ironic because I just found your channel in the last week when i was about to relax my hair…and I’m pregnant with my first child. lol. I didn’t want to but I’ve been wearing braids mostly for the last year and needed it to be more manageable “for me”. I just waited until I was in the second trimester and talked to my obgyn. Obviously won’t be doing it again until after baby is born and probably wouldn’t have if I didn’t have braids prior to. Everyone and every pregnancy is different so there’s not really a definitive answer to this in my opinion. Good luck on whatever you choose.

    The only downside for natural hair is you can straighten it to perfection but slight bit of humidity and it’s puffing up a little . I also find you just put it in a bun most times for ease . I was natural for years after relaxing all my teens but decided to relax twice a year again for diversity of styles and it means i use less product . The only downside is you hair looses thickness .

    Yes , you can totally forgo relaxer as you can flat iron your hair expertly. But for me I was thinking of stopping relaxer treatments and doing a texture release. What’s your opinion on cuticle builder such as Avlon Affirm Texture release instead of relaxer . switching to that.

  • @eudoh21
    @eudoh21Күн бұрын

    I believe texture release is just a different name for a Keratin treatment, which I’ve had, and those are definitely worse than relaxers, they do in fact have formaldehyde. I used a keratin treatment that wasn’t supposed to have formaldehyde but it just the two or so compounds that crated the treatment when combined and heat was added formed formaldehyde. And it made my hair shed like crazy. So be leary of even a release it MAY be the same.

    I actually went natural while I was pregnant. It wasn't specifically for that reason, I just wanted to try being natural, and that was the perfect time. I stayed natural for 5 years and went back to relaxers specifically because I wanted a bob, and I live in FL, so being a straight hair natural didn't work for me. Although I'm relaxed, my daughter has been natural her whole life and has never wanted a relaxer. I've taught her how to take care of her hair, and she loves her curls.
