    Hello, thank you for your video. we just purchased this machine. But we are confused about a drain hose and the white hose. Do we need to put both hoses?

  • @JSProjectWild
    @JSProjectWild3 күн бұрын

    The larger diameter hose is the drain hose for gravity draining to a drain that is lower than the dehumidifier. The smaller diameter hose is for pumping to a drain that is higher than the dehumidifier. Should only attach one depending on your drain location. Thanks for watching!!!

    Actually, I found the 2024 FJR to be much less agile than my 2018 Goldwing. The Goldwing carries its weight much lower than the FJR. It is much easier to move my Goldwing off the side stand than the FJR. The FJR feels heavier than the Goldwing. I've owned 2 FJRs. The Goldwing is hands down easier to ride slow. I love the FJR, but it is ponderous lump compared to the 2018+ Goldwing.

    Yep, bet you see crazy stuff. My muffler rusted through on my '06 Ram Cummins at only 37K miles so I replaced it with a full MBRP stainless system from turbo back because the new whole system was slightly less than just a new OEM muffler and I got rid of the cat. They’re great bikes, I now love my own GT and I also reviewed it on here. The only negatives are the potential maintenance costs if you can’t mostly do it yourself. Mine has slightly more miles than yours and I just replaced a failing coil (a common issue) which was a fair bit of work (and quite expensive to do if done at a dealer). The speedometer reads 2-6 high depending on your tires and your speed as you’ll see if you add the optional GPS (the GPS measured speed is very accurate)

  • @JSProjectWild
    @JSProjectWild14 күн бұрын

    I do all the maintenance and repairs on all the bikes I own. Parts cost are still a drawback for me on the beamers. That front electronic shock is around $1500 and that is for an aftermarket unit. And like the coils it is a fairly common failure. The stock seat is the killer for me, but I've heard the stock GT seat is better than the GTL seat. Do you find that to be true? Thanks for watching and commenting!!! 🦾

    You make excellent videos. I’ve always been sensitive to head buffeting, road noise & always prefer the smoothest ride possible at all speeds. I’ve had the same issues with my 2007 Wing. Also, one day I took off the vent & was amazed at the how much air current came through & it made buffeting worse. Do you know what brand of windshield wax you use? I use Plexus but it’s more of a coating than a wax & your windshields looks great. Thanks again for taking the time to make these videos. They truly help. I’m really torn because I have a chance to get a 2018 FJR at a great price so I have to decide whether to keep upgrading my Wing or buy that FJR. Loved your videos comparing them. If you could only keep one would it be to the FJR or the GW?

    Love your reviews. I’m torn between buying a 2002 or later GW, Honda ST1300 or a 2012-2018 FJR. In my late 50s my back really needs an upright & comfortable riding position but bar risers worked on my Concours 14. Do you have any thoughts on the ST1300? Some say it has heat issues & a lot of my riding is in Florida. Would appreciate your opinion on the ST1300 if you have a few minutes. Also was close to pulling the trigger on the Harley Pan America but honestly I’m worried about the future costs of maintenance & how the bike will hold up over time.

    2002-2004 Wings had the cracked frame issues, you can research that. My neighbor had an ST1300 and really liked the bike but hated all the heat while riding, and that's in the North central US. I've owned a bunch of fairly expensive Harleys, (you can see a bunch of them on my channel) and now I own none and it will probably stay that way. Thanks much for watching and commenting!!! 🦾👍

    @@JSProjectWild Thank you for your time & advice. Agree that I hear about the heat issue all the time from the ST1300. On top of the frame weld issues with the 2002-03 GWs it looks like Honda refined the cooling system by 2006-07. But I do have concerns about GW heat. Hate to say it but the coolest running bike o ever had was a Yamaha Star 1300. It was a cruiser trying to imitate Harley but the V-twin was effortless in traffic & had a great radiator. I think I’m going to have to ride a GW & a ST1300 to see if I can even handle the heat. Thanks again sir.

    I'm glad to see your video here... my Frigidaire 50-pint just started icing up, so something's wrong, and I'm in need of new one. I saw this model on Menard's website, and the low price caught my attention, and they are in stock at a Menard's close to me. I was curious about the pump... I have no need for a pump since I have always hooked up a short piece of garden hose to continuously drain into my basement floor drain... I was wondering if I could run it continuously and not even use the pump... to me it's just something else that will go wrong... glad to see that I don't even need to turn the pump on. Looks like it has a 3-year warranty too, which is a big plus... I have a hard time getting more than 2 years out of current dehumidifiers, and no one fixes them these days, unless you attempt it yourself. Heck, I had a Sears Craftsman that lasted about 25 years !

  • @JSProjectWild

    The unit is designed so that when the water raises the float towards the top of the tank the pump turns on and empties the tank.
