    I've always wondered why the vr4 had boosters for the clutch, the sl clutch is already very long which means less effort to press down, almost 2022 Honda like, is the clutch for the vr4 really that much heavier

    Did you cut the carpet to get into it or there is space to reach the sensor?

    Okay… haven’t experienced any issues until I reassembled a/c controller for GTA kit (apple CarPlay). Top went down but won’t go back up. The top switch just flashes red. Any thoughts?

    easier to just cut the old sensor off the harness and use solder sleeves to splice the new one in.

  • @rustytuney7
    @rustytuney725 күн бұрын

    I feel solder sleeves add too much possibility of false readings on such a sensitive part. (o2) Easier? Not really, a lot of risk, you might be buying another sensor unless your splice is perfect.

    I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your dedication to the SC community. Recently, I had been struggling with my SC convertible top, and I was at my wit's end trying to troubleshoot the problem. But Byron came to my rescue like a true superhero! In a mere 10 seconds, he was able to identify the root cause of the issue that had eluded me for days. Byron assistance was invaluable, and I am deeply appreciative of your help. I would highly recommend your channel to anyone who hasn't subscribed yet. Your expert insights and practical advice can potentially save thousands of dollars in repair costs. Your humility and approachability make you an outstanding member of the SC community.

    The gas station tanks that are under ground are prone to water seepage. Have you ever cut open a fuel filter after a vehicle has been setting a lean code and shops will unleash the parts cannons? When in actuality it's a plugged up fuel filter.

    Byron, I feel your pain when you switched that sensor out. I have an O2 SC430, I lifted the top Mats carpet, took a new blade sliced about 5in length and again sliced into the thicker padding and took the sensor out. Just a suggestion next time. the 1 cut in the carpet can't be seen. Cheers

  • @byronhatch7237

    A portion of the operation, yes. The entire process takes a computer and multiple motors and switches working in harmony....

    Thank you for this video. My sc430 2002 back dash board gets frozen and doesn’t move.rest of the roof moves as it should. So I follow procedure in the car operating manual. Open the roof till it’s horizontle. Then back dash is suppose to move up,it doesn’t ,so I manually with one hand( to avoid lots of pressure) lift up the black dash board and then push it down again. Then close the roof from semi open position. Then open the roof with the switch. This unfreezes motor for dashboard and now it starts working as it’s suppose to. Usually I have to do it couple of times a year at most. Of course , long term proper solution is to service the motor as shown here.
