Melodic Heaven!! Always been one of favourite Smiths tunes, I love playing this riff on the guitar, this was one of the songs I used to hear coming from my older brothers bedroom when I was 12yrs old around 35yrs ago and made me go into primary school the following day and ask to start learning and having guitar lessons. Think I’ve played the guitar nearly everyday ever since. Another great Smiths song in Johnny’s live set that is truly wonderful.

Odd, I saw Morrissey a few months ago for the first time at Portsmouth Guildhall. Didn't like his new band at all, they crucified How Soon is Now for example. I know it's not all about The Smiths but if I had the choice, these days I'd rather listen to Johnny reproduce those old songs, much more authentic; the excellent lyrics having already been written and set in stone. 👍

The genius of this man isn't simply the dexterity of his fingers. It's that he chooses notes that don't actually go together in any conventional sense and yet he manages to combine them into this wonderful symphony. It is utterly utterly unique and has never been replicated. Probably the closest is Ryan Adam's Prisoner album especially Anything I Say to you now .(listen to the end) .. that said still doesnt come close.
