As long as we don't have Jared Prickett taking all these layups we should be fine
How effective would this be versus zone?!
Great video Coach Sherman! Thank you
Apperciate press man defense of Molly Miller, please do more about it,thanks
It's so simple but so effective.
Great video and breakdown
Good stuff
Thanks, appreciate it!
Cal could never teach a staggered screen!
🤣🤣🤣👍🏼
Man this is nothing new. Im just now looking this stuff up. This is small ball lineup stuff. Pick n roll stuff.. Lmao.
@@pmontyjaaaymes488no one said it was new. Just that calipari couldn’t teach it.😊
After watching just a couple of minutes I can already tell you I like this offense better than what coach Cal ran the last four or five years.
It's night and day.
Man its literally dribble drive and pick n rolls. Lmao. Playing through the 5 man you have to go small ball line up. The best teams were UConn and Purdue. But other teams that went deep had traditional centers. Lmao
tremendous video
tremendous video
I just think Reed and Pope would be great together Reed should give his fans at least one more season his fans have backed him all season now please give you fans one more year Reed show the world what a Kentucky boy is made of
Pope has done more than Dan Hurley did before he went to UConn. But did have a national title as a player . I don’t think Hurley got one at Seaton Hall
Nice to see you back Coach Randy! :)
Kentucky settles for a coach who has done nothing. After some of the best coaches say no
So thankful and blessed to have Coach Pope! He breathed life back into the KY program feeling of excitement.

We do similar action as well. We call it "Ghost Screens"
yeah I included that verbiage in there as some call it that. Lots of times in Ghost Screens it is big-on-little, but Marquette will use slides guard on guard. I happened to have the practice footage of Shaka teaching it at VCU with the "slide" verbiage, so that's what I used.
@@RadiusAthletics Ghosts are typically a shooter, usually a guard, it's a slip into a Pop. You can roll or slip, or pop or ghost. That's how i explain it to my athletes at least
@@mcfuckinanotheraccount808 i agree with you, ghost sounds cool and that's what people call it now, but i had actual practice footage of Shaka calling it "slide" so i went with that...
You get rewarded for running the court hard. It really helps when you got an elite player like Caitlin Clark
Her running and Caitlin Clarkes court vision and passing..
🔥
Any idea where the continuity comes in?
Great add. Presenter had some excellent questions regarding if three players are on one side.
I gotta have that Guard-to-Guard Pass across the Top of Key before anything.
You got a video covering 23 zone matchup?
There's blind pig potential in case of denial on the drift screen pass aswell?
Chin means the positioning of the Center/Forward/Playmaker, right? Do they also run actions with a guy in the low post? I prefer to see Low Post positioning with backscreens and flash cuts to set up High Post play, instead of the high post guy just staying in that positioning.
Long way to run for a standard give-back jumper
This is wonderfully done. Very good rep of an important series of concepts in todays game.
Been running a version of the Princeton for years. Have definitely blended some of their 5 out concepts into our open series. Some of their concepts are traditional or are a derivative that I’ve seen from other coaches running a “Princeton” style
Very good information. Love this channel
I know
Drift screen
Laker Cut looks similar to a Shuffle Cut, is it the same or just similar. Laker Cut is new terminology to me. I think a Shuffle Cut goes along the FT Line basically and cuts down the Opposite Lane Line Laker Cut kinda does that but goes to the Corner
"Laker Cut" to me is a give-and-go after a post entry. It was part of the triangle offense and the Phil Jackson-era Lakers ran it to perfection. Hence the name "laker cut."
@@RadiusAthletics That explains why I was unfamiliar with it. Although I've heard it before. That was after my playing days. LOL I feel old now
Flare Screen for catch & shoot 3-pointers are my favorite part of Chin Offense.
What options do folks run when teams try to deny the slot to slot / guard to guard pass? Is there an option besides forwards out?
Treat that like "spin" Dribble at the denied player, they cut backdoor. Pass to forward then that sets up the drift screen for the passer.
Side-top-side screen back is motion offense dating wayyyy back.
thanks
Pitch ahead very early, way before getting close to the Halfcourt line. Love this.
always great coaches, appreciate it
What is the transition into Point or Chin or Princeton altogether...
Great Stuff!! Thanks
I love this action. Especially when they pass to the wing and flow in to the flare screen at the top of the key. It's so hard to guard.
Tired of straight Pick & Roll, ready for Centers outside the 3-point line at Top of Key for ball reversal.

Again very good video Coach Sherman, thank you for that. I think with music is better, it's engaging somehow, at least for me. Regards from Serbia , following you and thank you for everything, your channel help me to grow as a coach.
Great feedback, I wanted to try one without music for once to see if I liked it. And no, I do not like it! It is better with a bit of music.
I absolutely love this actions. How do they distinguish when they will play the pass from Top to Wing and look for the Shuffle Cut and Drift Screen, OR play the Point Away series?
I don't know. I'd do it by coaching my team out of habits and ruts to introduce variety. "Hey let's take it to point some..." or "Hey, let's get to a drift as soon as possible..." When habits and ruts start to form, I steer the team away from them. Coaching!
@@RadiusAthletics Great stuff, i just wonder if it is somehow conceptual and there are triggers to distinguish the actions, but maybe that's just complicating things sometimes.
@@mcfuckinanotheraccount808 I get what you are asking: what is "telling them" to take it to Point vs. continuing through the Chin to Drift progress. I don't see calls or anything and sometimes there is some denial of the guard to forward pass, that could be one thing. But my hunch is just a team wanting a varied attack using all the option. I like the way you think though!
@@mcfuckinanotheraccount808 From a member of their coaching staff: "We like to mix it up, if we have went through chin completely a couple times we really like to get into another action. Example; If they are really pressuring then we will hit the point spot and see how many actions we can get to before the defense messes up. We have more options out of our point series than chin. But as far as triggers go, we really just let our guys play out of it."
@@RadiusAthletics Very interesting, so it’s more as you suspected, use a varied attack and look to cause different problems for the defense. The execution on this teams you’ve been posting really sets them apart, players buy into the system. I love this actions, to play them and to coach them 👌🏼
Stepback 3-pointers off the dribble handoff, mandatory.
Center has to be a very good passer, that's why I prefer the 1st pass come from the shooting guard because he better know how to make 3-pointers off dribble handoffs from the Center at high post.
I love all this Princeton content you’ve been putting out lately
Good, because I have a lot more of it planned!
Good stuff. I’ve watched UAH all year this year and was very impressed with how they ran Princeton
Me too! I watched all of their made field goals on the season. I have lots more videos coming! Make sure to subscribe and like, thanks for watching!
