After watching this video again and watching other cage installs, I like the idea of this of this product more and more, and would consider getting one as well. Going to watch your next video of the shakedown and opinion after you drive with it for while. I can see how test fitting in the vehicle and then chasing all the threads after paint are a must. I would add that I will have to assemble the whole thing out of the jeep to check for fitment and "other issues" maybe even use that time to paint it or consider taking it to a powder coater. I also was looking into the other bars that are available to be added to the base kit. Great video TY. I appreciate the raw and real world struggle as a lot of videos avoid that or don't show it making things seem easier than real life.
@emptypocketsoffroad9 күн бұрын
@vinniedimodica8705 yes for sure check the threads. I'd definitely recommend installing in the vehicle before powdercoat or paint. Get some good ratchet straps and a friend or two. Be patient and hopefully it goes in properly. Overall I enjoyed the cage after getting over the initial frustration of installation. Good luck!

Do you ever get nervous about the bigger descents with your short-body Jeep? I have a ‘13 Wrangler Sport, and that has been a concern on several excursions.
@emptypocketsoffroad10 күн бұрын
@scotshaver yea for sure! This trip was the first real trails I've done in this jeep. The super short wheelbase is definitely different than the xj I had. Future plans include a stretch to 100" Wb or more. With the tj having stock suspension it was low enough to feel very balanced though.

I bought the same cooler for my boat this morning. Free shipping and I got the basket and divider along with the freezer pack for a little over $250. I was looking at an ORCA to go along with the 40qt ORCA I have now which I love by the way. But stumbled upon Cordova while researching everything out there. Looked at KONG, Yeti and all the others but Cordova was the best built with the best features for the best price that is made in the U.S.A.! Simply put the only thing I would like on this cooler that it doesn't have is a tethered drain plug It is great to see so many American companies building great products and bringing jobs back to this country. ORCA is made in Tennessee so I was real set on buying one from them again but Cordova IMHO is the best cooler on the market. Your real world test just gave me more piece of mind that I made the right choice. Thank you for the review!!!
