20230113 3 comments --- indeed very, very well performed .... the whole .... those strings "basso continuo" are wonderful and help the performance of the main instrument, the "sweetflute", "piccolo" "flautino" ... I think Vivaldi himself would feel this was what he intended.

Love this arrangement from Tom Kubis. Played this at UNLV the year our band won the national championship. Best arrangement of this song, in my opinion.

Wow, that was tight! We played this in High School about 15 years before you did. I thought we were good, but not quite as good as you were. Great job.

Fantastic! We're playing this tomorrow evening as a "community" swing band, and this is the best rendition I've found online. You should be very proud of the level of professionalism you reached!

So far this is the BEST performance of Bax's trio on KZread. The three understood the roots of the music, and evoked the Celtic background of the elegy very well. Most of the other performances of this are just blasé methodical smattering. Bravo!

I apologize to whoever is playing lead alto for my excessive writing. But it's a great chart and he's a great director. Please give him my regards! :) If you say that one Asian flute player guy from Shorecrest I'm sure he'll know who you're talking about.

One of the trumpets needed to move the plunger a little more, it sorted sounded like the bell of that horn was stuck in the toilet. I guess the better way to put it is to say it needed a little more shape and less "stuffing the sound." Over all, Good job on the piece, good arrangement too. I like the tempo on the song like that even though Duke Ellington did it a little faster, but maybe that's because I'm partial to doing songs like this "Slow 'N Nasty"
