Thanks for the review of room 15245. My husband and I thought it was a great room, so we booked it for May, 2026!
Thank you Linda, and have an amazing time on Sun in May 2026, time will fly by.
Nice tour video, I wonder is there a coin laundry?
There are (well kind of), and we show them on our Ruby Princess Ship tips video. There a numerous laundries onboard, and you pay for them using your medallion rather than coins or tokens.
It is an awesome view! Lovely train ride.
There really are some absolutely amazing views. Loved it
Looks beautiful, Alaska is now on our list.
It really is Peter, and you will love Alaska when you get there we are positive.
My wife did this with my brother in law during our visit to Skagway. My sister and I took a helicopter flight to go dog sledding instead. After seeing this I want to go back and do the railway too. You can see what we did there here. kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4xot8OLYK-teNo.htmlsi=apC7Dy2J-0n1zYJJ
Just had a look at your video👍 and the dog sled looks so much fun. We were so tempted to do this, guess we will have to go back again too.
Excellent review. We are just researching Alaska so super useful. Thanks!
Thank you Robin, and glad you enjoyed it. Let us know how you get on when you get to Alaska.
great video, love watching your travels!
Thank you so much Reba❤️
Love by Britto reduced price to $79 per person!! we booked it twice for our 14 day Nov 2024 Sun Princess cruise. Bram at Sea did great review on KZread.
That is crazy that they have virtually half priced it, and well done on getting it booked twice at that price. It does look really good, we finally saw a video last night (Bram at Sea).
We loved our white pass train excursion, but what made it even more exciting is that once we got to the top, we jumped on bikes and rode them through the Canadian Border crossing, and had to show our passports. We then biked down 15 miles back into Skagway. WHat a thrill! Stopped at a glacial stream and filled our water bottles with glacier water along the way, and took some fun photos with the white pass train in the background.
Now I'm really jealous .Sounds fantastic.
Wow, that sounds amazing, we saw an excursion with that on, and wish we'd done it now. Next time!
The ship is expensive to be problematic.
It's not that problematic when you are on Heather, they have just had an awful lot of challenges getting it to where they want it, and then changed what they want once it launched too, which we can't think of that happening to any other ship, Princess or others. It really wouldn't stop us going on it again though.
We went on the train on our first trip to Skagway. I love trains, and it did not disappoint. We are waiting for our kids to travel with us, and we'll go on again. Skagway is one of our favorite stops. I don't know if you were aware, but Carnival Cruise Lines bought the Whitepass Yukon a few years ago. This will inject more money into maintaining the trains. That will ensure it will keep running for years to come. Cheers
We loved Skagway (and trains) too Steve, absolutely our favourite port in Alaska so far, and we'd love to go there again. We did know about Carnival buying it, and that really is great news, it would be a massive shame if it stopped running or fell into disrepair.
This looks unreal and something we will do one day! We are actually sailing from Vancouver in September but we sail South and will miss out on this. Maybe next time round! Great video as ever guys. Hope you are both well.
Absolutely one to try Lisa & Pete, you would love it we are sure. Where are you heading going South from Vancouver?
@@SuiteNatured we sail to Victoria, then onto San Francisco, Saint Catalina Island and finally LA so should be interesting. 👍
Oh wow that sounds like an amazing itinerary.
🙏❤️❤️
That voices omg.
Not sure if that was a compliment or not Zizi but we decided to take it as one🤣
We just got back from Ruby last Tuesday. I'm glad you had a good experience, but it was by far the worst cruise food we've ever had. It was our first attempt at Princess and definitely the last
Oh no Jay, what a shame. Was it the quality, service, taste, or all of the above?
@@SuiteNaturedit would be impossible to complain about the service. We did reserve collection dining and the staff were top notch, some of the best we've had on any cruise. The quality and taste of the food were the issue. We had at least one course every night where everybody would take a bite, look at each other, and push the plate away. The staff was apologetic and I honestly got the impression they understood what they were bringing us, but just couldn't do anything about it. Our head waiter Nicola did a special pasta dish every night that he was cooking in the middle of the dining room and that was consistently better than anything we had from the kitchen. Whereas previous cruises on Celebrity, we would always check the menu when they posted it earlier in the day and talk about what we were excited to try, by the end of the cruise we were all dreading going to dinner.
What a massive shame Jay, and what a difference a month made. Wonder if there had been a change in the Kitchen staff? Something very odd as it was outstanding throughout on ours, and we had the opposite, of not normally wanting to do MDRs (Speciality instead) to really looking forward to it, and Nicolas little treats.
SO good Princess 24 kt Margaritas. Only thing missing is US and free Nachos and Guacamole using the Medallion to order them 😂
🤣🤣 Free Nachos and Guac would make that pretty much perfect Bart

We've just boarded Sun Princess in Athens today with our 17 year daughter. I think Princess probably suits teenage kids more than younger ones. You were discussing how many kids might be onboard in the summer. Info in the kids club today shows: 3-7 year olds - 77; 8-12 - 189; and 13-17 - 413. So quite a few kids on our sailing.
Thanks for letting us know that Andy. With the removal of Park 19, we agree it seems to suit teenagers more than young children, but wow, nearly 700 children on your cruise is a lot.
Msc virtuosa is my number one fab ship as it has the robot i cant wait to experience yatch club
So glad you love MSC Virtuosa Jennifer, and let us know when you've tried YC and what you think. Linzi & Mark
@@SuiteNatured well this year im trying YC for the first time im so so excited
You are going to LOVE it Jennifer
@@SuiteNatured tell me 4 reasons why i would love yatch club
Only four..... 1. The Embarkation - you can turn up anytime from 0930 (ignore any embarkation times you see) and you will escorted onto the ship by your butler so fast, you'll have a drink in your hand before you know it. Disembarkation is just as quick too, but let's not talk about getting off the ship before you've even got on. 2. You'll have a drink in your hand before you know it! The Top Sail bar team are amazingly attentive, and if you are not sure what you want, ask them to make you a mystery drink/something special. 3. In Room Butler Service / Butler. We never thought we'd like or have need for a butler onboard a ship, until we went on MSC. The butlers are amazing, and nothing is too much effort for them. Fancy a Pizza Takeout, you got it, Cocktail for while you are getting ready for your night out. Yep. And they turn your cabin around in a morning and evening so quickly you won't realise they've been. 4. The Food. The food in the Yacht Club restaurant, at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is fantastic, and if there isn't something you fancy on the menu, or you fancy a slightly different version of it, just let them know and more often than not they will be able to sort you out. Hope they help get you even more excited. Linzi & Mark
We have both said Sky Princess is by far the best main dining room we have had.The club class is a really nice touch - just that bit quieter and as you said a few specials. We said we would happily eat in there all week with no specialty dining.
Completely agree, we said it so many times whilst in speciality dining that we'd have been quite happy in the Reserve/Club dining instead (especially in Salty Dog).
Just catching up after our travels - we loved the food on Princess - Sabatinis was great and we were lucky to be able To have breakfast there every day as we had suite. Great food all round though.
Ooh how was Sabinitins for breakfast, was it the same menu as in the other MDRs or something different too?
How many suitcases did you take?
We took three Linda, but only because we were going from Southampton and driving to the port, rather than having to fly. We could have fitted everything in two, but squashed up, and we didn't fancy ironing the formal wear :)
@@SuiteNatured it’s only me for 56 days four ships six flights so I will have to try personal baggage, carry on and one check in
The Alaskan excursion was an NCL excursion, not third party and they still left them.
So we understand, the initial reports were of a third party. It being an official one makes it even worse, especially with the fine. Apparently NCL have now refunded them everything, plus out of pocket which according to the latest stories was nearly $21000, which is crazy.
@@SuiteNatured It is so nice that you respond personally to comments! Best wishes on your future journeys!
Ive booked an XL Sea Terrace and cannot wait - hubby doesnt like heights so hes secretly hoping he gets the metal balcony !!
There are only a very few of the metal fronted ones, but if you really want to make sure you get one, just give sailor services a call and we are sure they will be able to help, as generally, it is people wanting to change from them, but the heights thing is a genuinely good reason to have a metal front.
Another great video guys. Love them...looking forward to the next one 🙂Alison & Ian
Thank you Alison & Ian, if you ever fancy joining us on a cruise cast just let us know. . Linzi & Mark
@@SuiteNatured Would love to, when back off the next cruise! 🙂
Just drop us an email [email protected] when you are back and we can have a chat.
My goodness! That music makes me think you'd throw the pier runners to a pit of snapping crocodiles! 😆
Us, never!😂 We'd be the ones cheering them on to make the ramp.
Cute open!
Thank you Kevyn.

Here’s my theory. Unlike other Carnival branded ships which are flagged under more lax Panamanian and Bahamian registration. Sun Princess is flagged under Bermuda (British territory) and subject to stricter health and safety rules. Other Carnival Excel class ships can get away with a regular inspection and certification while Princess cannot.
Oh that's an interesting theory!
I understood it was a NCL excursion, the family was out $21,000 total out of pocket and NCL has said they will cover all the costs as it was their fault. The family is from Oklahoma, where I live, so I saw the story on our local TV station. The father was telling the story.
It was Mike, you are right. When the story broke, it was suggesting a third party excursion, but it makes it even worse when you consider it was NCL, and then the fine and out of pocket expenses.
We always thought the new additions were a bad idea from the start, Princess needs to stick to their core passengers wants and needs and leave water slides, surfing machines and climbing walls to other cruise lines.
They were very divisive from the off John. We personally didn't mind them when we were on there, but we do get why others didn't want them, and to leave it to the likes of Royal, Carnival, P&O and NCL to do that.
I was on Sun Princess last week and it is a fabulous ship. We were disappointed in Sabatini's and were appalled at the cartoonish presentation and mediocre food at the Butcher Block by Dario. The best food, by far, was the Signature restaurant. The Reserve was next best.
If the reserve experience was anything like we had on Ruby Rick we are sure it was fantastic. Shame Sabatini's and Dario's haven't found their footing yet.
You seemed to have a good time on this visit, is it just me or was there a distinct increase in the number of double entendres in this episode? Also, don’t you think you aught to put “ad” in the description? Free coffee is free coffee after all 🤣
The two you have the most lovely soothing voices. Thank you for the review.❤
And thank you so much for such a lovely comment Leonie. Have a lovely day, Linzi & Mark
When you were sitting on your balcony could you see the water underneath the wooden rail?
Not really Colin. We could see the water through the large drainage hole lower down (which became a bit hypnotic after a while).
I have been on three cruises with a Sheltered Balcony. I am booked on QM2 this year for a Transatlantic. I would have booked a glass walled Balcony but they were all sold out, so I have a Sheltered Balcony again
We'd happily do QM2 transatlantic on any balcony Colin, and in summer, probably a glass one would edge it, but in autumn and winter we'd go for the Sheltered one again.
Wow - this ship really does look gorgeous. I have to say, I absolutely LOVED you guys laughing on the way round - you had me chuckling along with you!
It really is a very pretty ship, in a classy, understated (to a degree) way Fraser. We very nearly had to stop recording due to the laughing at one point, but we pushed through🤣
Another great video. Seems like a money grab to charge an extra fee for the salmon in the steak restaurant especially in Alaska
Thank you Richard. We both thought it was strange that Salmon was an extra charge, especially as a fish option (usually salmon) is available on most cruise ship steak houses. It was very tasty though.
