    Yeah, but new hinges almost NEVER fits the old ones. It's always pain in the ass to adjust them properly so that door close like they were closing before. Very annoying.

    Thanks, but I already knew how to screw some screws into some pre-drilled holes! Utterly pointless video!

    Can anyone help me here... The doors on my cabinet and cuboard are like half inch overhang on both sides... I am trying to replace the frameless hinges with better ones but twice I have been to home Depot to get desired hinges. All of which are making the door short. What do I mean by short? Once installed, the door is short by is like 1/2- 3/4 inches from where the opening is. It's like the current hinges I'm getting placing the door 1-1 1/2 inches overlap on one side. Any suggestions???

    Completely unhelpful, obviously people are looking to repair the cupboards/hinges, my problem was the holes on the cupboard become unusable and the Hinge popped right out ..

    Hey Tommy, The title here is how to REPLACE kitchen hinges. This is how to INSTALL - the difference being that there must be a reason to replace hinges, and I expected to see that. With robust hinges like these I expect that they'd be of the 'forever' variety, but mine have given up closing tightly. Perhaps the spring has aged; is there a 'tighten' mechanism or technique in fixing these things? Even Blum hinges incorporate 'planned obsolescence'?

    9 times out of 10 you cant find the hinges from 10 years ago, so your original kitchen door is fucked. so you try and make do with the closest variant, think this will work, no fucking way. these cunts of things turn a 10 minute job into a a week long affair that cost potentialy either a plug and redrill or a fuck it and new door when you put your fist through it. if your doing a reno just put some really nice old school hinges on your cupboards.

    If u are putting new hinges on the cabinets what is the distance that u should put the back plates not the door cabinet but on the cabinets it self? ?

    How do you know the tiles are straight/flush?

  • @jomamamac
    @jomamamac7 жыл бұрын

    Great install video. However, I noticed that the tile flooring was partially completed around the toilet, leaving the the sink atop the cement board. Wouldn't it be easier to finish the tile before mounting the sink so that you don't have to make edge cuts around the pedestal? Even if you were finishing with vinyl flooring, having to cut around a pedestal would leave you open to water getting between the flooring and subfloor. Just my .02 cents.
