    I'm surprised that the customer doesn't clean the machine up a bit prior to bringing it in. I mean, they couldn't get at the clog, but the exterior of the machine and the brushroll are so dirty! Same with the E3 you had in another video that was having a motor problem. That poor vacuum looked like it had seen some stuff!

    I would love a video where you go through a "tour" of some of the available attachments. I just got a Sebo E3 Premium and I'm interested in all the different attachments. It would be nice to see them in action. The Sebo website has accessories but doesn't even give a blurb about them.

    Very good video. We live in a small town. The vacuum shops like yours are an hr away. We will browse your info and possibly buy from you. We got this Shark from our daughter. She is moving and didn't want it. We were trying to take it apart to clean the roller brush. That is when we discovered the fiasco of a fairly permanent assembly. We watched a couple video's of how to take the head apart and in both some tabs broke. We broke one too. We were down to removing the motor for the head when I searched again and found this video and decided to just reassemble and use it until it dies.

    Great video and unfortunately a completely correct one. The vacuum breakdown will also be timed as close as possible to a month or 2 after the standard warranty expiry date. A disgusting mind-set but one that prevails at executive level in a lot of companies now. I took my own sharp apart a few months back before ever seeing this video and encountered all the problems just mentioned but fortunately I have a well-stocked tool-shed and am stubborn as a mule. She's up-and-running now for another while, fingers crossed.

    I guess I got lucky. Shark replaced the complete roller brush assembly under the 5 year warranty and I haven’t had any real problems until now. For some reason there is a big crack in the bottom of the motor housing but the suction is still good. I think I have had my NV501 rotator for about 10 years. Figure about $20/ yr. to own a pretty good vacuum that works well-I’m satisfied. I think I would consider buying the same model again and hope for the best. Hey, I’ll keep the old one for parts.😊

    Got a damn toy caught up behind the middle brush. What a pain in the ass trying to get this thing apart. That middle screw of course my bit needed a thinner extension. Or a longer speciality tool. Then the snaps getting them back together with the roller side clip. Not for the normal handyman.

    any suggestions on what to do if your hoover is disensing water but not soap? The soap level has not changed in my tank- and its definitely full and switch is in the correct position.

  • @joshyouwa
    @joshyouwa6 күн бұрын

    @@MikeOpin There are any number of issues that can lead to this within the change over valves etc. Due to the general diffaculty of sourcing repair components for Hoover branded products our best recomendation is to simply mix the cleaning solution in the clean water tank. Most other modern carpet cleaners do nto have seperate soap containers as it needlessly complicates the design and introduces new failure points.

    Still Sharks are amazingly innovative, (lift away and still power head like a canister) and they are light weight and quiet. Sucks that they cant be repaired easily. They have amazingly tough belts unlike most other brands. Most all proprietary electronics use protected bits and you can get a complete set of them for less than ten bucks at any Harbor Freight.

    There are two stores in my area (used to be 5) and they are both super aggressive. I get it. Online and package stores are selling plastic junk at great prices (sometimes) and most people can't tell the difference. The thing is, I can, but honestly I don't want to buy from either of them. They immediately showed me their most expensive models (Sebo) before I had a chance to explain my situation and what I was looking for. One promised a 10 yr warranty (5 over the factory) but I'm not sure they're going to be around long enough to honor it.

    a year later, you're still coming in clutch 😩👌 (sorry) i've only one had two Dysons that lasted (the OGs), i probably will never get another one, but at least my DC14 FA is good to go for another 10 years. i put the brush back on without the brush rod/caps inserted just to have a little less to have to pull the belt around, seemed to help a bit.

    Thanks for a very informative video. We bought our first Shark a number of years ago and have generally been pleased with its performance. Inevitably it has finally broken down and I am about to investigate the cause. Researching on line videos led me to yours and some others which don't bode well for a successful repair. If we need to replace the machine, then this lack of basic repairability will certainly dissuade us from buying a second Sharp. Its a great shame that an otherwise well designed product is spoilt by this marketing philosophy.

    Riccar might be "assembled" in the US but most of the components (aside from the cases) are made in China. Not a bad thing because parts and products made in China can vary widely in terms of quality. What concerns me is how deceptive it appears by making it look like Riccar is "made in America" when it's really not.

Ive owned a bissel, dyson, and hoover that have all failed in less than 2 years. This time, i did research and chose a shark, because this one had seemingly good reviews and its failed less than 6 months later. I'm on here, because im trying to figure out how to repair it, but I guess I can't. I dont have money to keep buying vacuums and this is just insanity
