Hey there! Really love your shot! Would u mind selling me a small clip of your drone shot to use for my video? Unfortunate I lost my drone and couldn’t capture any....making a little fun video from my trip and thought a little drone shot would be a nice touch. Thank you :)

Did those condos on Turtlewood near Braes Bayou flood? From the 1:27 mark on this video it looks like it almost did!

Trust your drone ... It is a DJI ... They are damn near bulletproof. It is very hard to lose or crash a newer DJI product. Even if it disconnected, it is going to come home when the battery says it needs to and it knows how much battery is needed to get back home. Make sure you go into your go app and set it to return home automatically if it disconnects. It give your the option to hover in place, land or RTH ... I would set it to RTH. If that ever happens again, simply try to reconnect or just wait ... it will come home after the battery gets low enough. I would recommend a 4Hawks range extender if your going to be flying out of view. I have one and am able to fly as far as I want ... the only limit is the battery, but I have gone 6 miles out. Have fun!!

Right near my house. How bad would the flooding be if they hadn't built those massive retention ponds. Thanks for the look.

isn't this illegal?
@jimp96426 жыл бұрын
I have not seen anything in the FAA rules that would suggest that.

I was thinking it would be illegal too. I know that another water craft isn't allowed within so many feet of a cruise ship, so I'm surprised that this was allowed. Either way, I loved the video. You did a fantastic job at filming it.

A little too close to what? I didn't see any close calls. Lots of seagulls though.

As the drone flew over the ship, there are wirs from the funnel to the bow that hold a string of lights. If you look close the drone was pretty close to them. Also since I could not see them on the POV monitor, it was just luck that I did not hit them and drop the drone to the deck.

Ok! I see it at 4:44. I believe every ship has this wire with lights. It's a decorative piece at night. I assume the collision detection system wouldn't ever spot something that small and narrow.
