Hey Larry thank you for commenting. Leaf Miner is a tricky one to get rid of it you have to use a garden pesticides.. you can also check the back of your plants for early detection remove that leaf and just check on them as often as possible. They like to hide on the backside of the leaf. I truly hope this help

Hey Neighbor! My sugar babies are very small the leaves didn't get as big as they normally do. I was supposed to remove all of the old soil in the garden and put in new better soil. I only amended it adding manure (black kow)and vegetable tone my bad. Also I mostly hand pollinated because I'm not seeing many bees. I now have to find a person willing to take out old soil and put in new at the end of this growing season. As always your melon patch looks good

Hey Yolanda so good to hear from you. I've been hearing some things about Black Cow compost that's not good. If you can find you a person who makes compost locally it will probably be better for you. You shouldn't have to change your soil unless it's contaminated with something.

@@BACKYARDGARDENER Thank you for that information Whew.... I didn't want to change out because i figured it would be expensive. I heard about Black cow after the fact and it had lots of rocks in it, I will check locally for compost.

wow! nice garden, you don't even buy fruits/vegetable at the supermarket i assume. The 1st watermelon looks like it was picked to soon as it had white seeds ( a common indicator of being picked to early), the 2nd watermelon at the end was ripe and had full black seeds. nicely done.
