    Detroit mechanics have mostly aged out and Detroit parts have become scarce. Cost to repower with Man's or Cat's in the 400,000 range.

    I haven’t seen this video for a long long time. It’s 12 years old. At first I didn’t see any steam but because it’s such an old video, I actually watched it. And yes towards the end I saw what you’re talking about. Probably not normal, but I don’t think anything serious.

    in the1980s i lived inSouth Florida and worked part time in the Marine Service Industry these Gulfstars were always one nof my more favorite Layouts in this size and price range and Cruising Range etc it’s still IMO a good one although this paticular one could use a few minor interior updates despite the Engine issue the engine room looked. pretty decent and i usually prefer the old two Stroke Detroits

  • @1worldyachts

    Yeah, although the boat looked nice visibly there were some issues found curbing survey. Some from the yard. Believe it or not, the bottom was just done and the yard (unbelievably) drilled holes into the bottom. A good section of the keel was delaminated. It truly was a shame.

    No offense but you need to work on your camera skills panning around and everything is close up couldn’t even tell what part of the boat you were filming

  • @army69to72
    @army69to72 Жыл бұрын

    When filming you need to back off the closeups so much. Nobody can determine the size of anything to include how spacious the rooms are because your zoomed in too close. I couldn’t buy this boat based on what I saw because it was so poorly filmed. Just trying to give you some perspective. Thanks for taking time to bring the boat to us.

    Terrible vidio as they presented a product that was mostly covered up, mentioned some worn parts. Also shot this on a bad weather day, hampering the camera, moving all over the place trying to get out of the rain. Count have done a worse job myself.

    Yeah, I have been told before that my videos, lack, professionalism, customization, good equipment, etc. And really, between you and me, they are very unprofessional. But they serve a purpose as opposed to all of the people doing boat/yacht videos now, where the person doing the video wants to be the star. If you notice on mine, you actually see the boat/yacht. Not me! I am not the one looking for fame, I am doing videos of boats/yachts, for a specific purpose. (Honestly, with a face like mine, it's better to just show the boat, lol). You see, I make these videos for specific clients who are interested in the particular vessel that I am recording. So, for them, it does exactly what it is meant to do and that is, show the boat as I see them, when I get onboard. You will notice that I don't stage the boats (uncover, set up dishes, make the beds, etc.). My motto is you see the boat/yacht the way I see it. First impressions are very important. All my videos are, uncut, unedited, non-stop complete walk-through, so my clients know that I am honest and truthful with them. There are a lot of people doing boat videos now, who cut out the bad parts of the boat. I don't do that. Often, I hear my clients tell me (when they see the boat first-hand), "Wow, this is better than I thought it would be". To me, that's a compliment. I guess that I could take it as a bad rap about my video taking abilities. But that's alright, as long as my clients have confidence in me about my honesty and ethics and ultimately, happy about their new boat. This particular Azimut was sold 8-9 years ago, the owners still have it and LOVE it! It was/is a great motor yacht. Be well my friend and please subscribe!

    Wow, after 13 years, I would have thought that all of the negative comments about how bad I am at doing videos would have been completed. Thanks for joining the party! Better late than never! I know that I suck at making videos and I have been reminded about it many, many, many, many, many times. Luckily, that is not my career and even though the videos truly are terrible, they have been received as unexpected delights for those they were initially intended for. Also, not that its worth anything, because the videos really haven't gotten any better (let's just keep that between you and me), but the video equipment was a lot worse 13 years ago. I find watching it on your phone makes them not as bad as watching on a TV...guess it's harder to see all the mess ups on a hand help device. Be good!

    Hello Dr. T Yes, this boat sold some time ago for $225K. It is a galley down model with 2 staterooms and in really nice condition, especially the interior. That said, there are two similar 50' Bertram Convertible boats available (both, galley up). A beautiful 46 Bertram (galley down) that has everything new (paint, engines rebuilt, generator, etc., etc., etc.) and a nice 54' Bertram (galley up) also available. Feel free to contact me directly. My info is in the description at the beginning of this video.

    I know the boat sold. But compared to the Viking 55, or 63 Motor Yacht, it's not a very good layout. I originally thought it would have been a 63, with a cockpit.

  • @1worldyachts

    I 100% agree with you. To me, the 63 MY is a great boat (minus the gelcoat issues they have). Good cockpit, good visibility, three nice size staterooms, great open galley, great aft deck, Viking, big powerful engines, good handling. Absolutely one of my favorites and lucky to have sold a few in my time. Great family boat!

    @@barelyafloatwithsteve3975 Both very good boats. I love the interior of the 49 Gulfstar, 3 staterooms with a great amount of space between the owner suite and the VIP, huge galley with the dinette. Amen brother! I just sold a Moppie that was re-powered. Now you got a tank that's fast. Wow. The guy who bought it has three kids. I made sure to tell him to explain to his kids that not all Bertrams are this fast. I can imagine the day when one of his kids are in the late 20's early 30's and looking to get their first boat with some buddies and come across a Bertram. His kid will tell the others, I remember my dad had a Bertram, it was a great boat. Then he'll find out whatever he looks at isn't as fast as what dad had and be disappointed.

    No staging prior to video?

  • @1worldyachts
    @1worldyachts3 жыл бұрын

    No Justin, I purposely do not stage boats. I do these videos specifically for my clients, who are looking to purchase. I purposely do not edit the video at all. If you notice, they are completely non-stop, unedited and un-staged. I want them to see the boat how it really sets. Most of the time when we go through with the next phase of the purchase process, my client sees the boat for the first time, and I hear "Oh, it looks better than I thought it would". That's a good thing. Over the years, since I have been doing these videos and others have followed my lead, many other brokers stage the boats and make a professional video that does not truly represent the boat as it really is. I'm a little old school (OK, a lot) and would rather be more truthful.
