You'd think they'd give it a real name. Don't the locals at least call it something more interesting?

I knew Yuan survived in the end because the narrator was giving a detailed account of what was going through the diver's mind but not for Tau.

I think the single biggest mistake they made was not planning for anything to go wrong. They were running themselves on so thin a margin that a minute or two of hesitation could basically double their decomp time, but didn't really make a plan for what to do if that minute or two DID happen. Like yeah they planned in the sense they were aware of the danger, but there weren't really any safety fallbacks staged (I mean, as far as what's been shared in this tale). Their second biggest mistake is more inferred here, but I consider it the limit vs suggestion concept. That rule of thirds sounds genius, but they didn't seem to follow it if they were almost out of air after some hiccups in the plan (unless they were genuinely hyperventilating with panic, but they were both seasoned divers, so I think that's more unlikely). The only way I could really see--wait hold on lemme double check that rule of thirds, i mightve misunderstood it

The real horror of this story is people being forced to study French in school. I love listening to the language but studying it was like torture. Conjugating verbs and past/present tense and masculine and feminine application were so horrible. I would rather go caving tbh.

I hate that 9:50 plucking sound, I get it, you want it so be all mysterious. But it makes it hard to focus on the story and what you are trying to say.

"Hey, guys! I'm free this weekend! Wanna go cave diving?" "Cave diving? What's that?" "It's this thing where we each give ourselves a limited supply of oxygen and then get as far away as surface air as possible. While we're swimming away from air, we'll also be navigating through a maze with very poor visibility and narrow exits that are almost impossible to locate. We won't be able to communicate and if anything goes wrong, we die in a matter of minutes with no way for others to reach us or even locate our bodies." "Can't we just swim quickly back to the surface?" "No. And if you do, your blood will bubble and you'll pass out in excruciating pain. In fact, you have to take several lengthy breaks on the way back as you're running out of air. Even experts die all the time." "Sounds like fun! Sign me up!"

So you feel deep diving isn't dangerous enough? Dive in a cave, blindfolded, carrying a quart of nitroglycerin, and your hands tied. Else you're a wussy, I guess.

Come on man! Stay on brand! Where is the part where you tell us that, Paul Bunyan, Daniel, Boone, and old Davy Crockett carried all the people out over their shoulders? I mean you already went with a 1 mile high avalanche. Which I can assure you has never happened while humans have occupied this planet. I swear this channel just wing some bullshit out there all the time.
