Articulated Points

We're a podcast that explores some of the rare, forgotten, or just plain fun toys from the action figure aisle, like G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Transformers, and more! With a little bit of Disney parks thrown in for good measure.

So... is it highly recommended that a flux capacitor is more of a stable source to generate time traveling stabilization compared to tachyon pulse from three spots in time?! And the use of analog compared to digital is that to combat time travel dilation EMP effect?! JK I know nothing about time travel or theory 😂

I know it’s probably not going to happen but it would be amazing if Jada Toys, Capcom and Hasbro could work out a deal where we got modern versions of these figures in Classified form!

This set is an evil S.O.B. I wanted this so badly for my bday and I got it. It was nothing but a nightmare for s small kid to put together. I'm sure my grandmother tried to help but the fences wouldn't stay put, the buildings wouldn't stay or go together, I had hell trying to plug anything in to anything. I was probably 8. I will always despise this infernal beast til the day i die 😂

Excellent video with great information. I have a few of the Street Fighter figures but I never picked up any in 1993 through 1995 since they cost considerably more than the Battle Corps, Ninja Force, and Star Brigade figures. I know that I would have been all in if there had been a Cammy figure released with the G.I.JOE line.

I mean I grew up with most of these toylines and what did it for me as a kid was the hands on the G.I joe toys. I loved the smaller figures but the hands on the joytoy did not hold the action figures weapons well. It made me frustrated as a kid to have to constantly put the figures weapons back in his hands. Kenner's star wars toy had less articulation but it was easier to have their weapons in their hands. Ultimately me and my brother moved on to Stars Wars and Johnny quest figures. As kids in the 80s-90s we did not care about miltary realism we cared about how fun the figures were to play with. You can see what I am talking about in your examples. You slot the weapon in the side of the hand. The hand is not fully close so the weapons fallout.

Thanks a bunch for this deep dive. It always feels like you leave no stone unturned. When it comes to talking about variations or unreleased stuff, I'm often left with a sense of wonder and a bit of "what if?" I'm always baffled how you guys have these rare unreleased stuff. Great job!

@@ArticulatedPoints Kylie Minogue was so cute in Cammy uniform and i special ordered AN camouflage from Hong Kong cosplay company! I dressed as Chun Li and i also love SNK characters like Nakoruru (i have a twin sister and little sister so we all dress as Samurai Spirits characters). I love dressing as Shiki,Mai Shiranui,Whip,Athena and Rimururu! Being married to a military veteran also got me real world gear that only my husband could get me.

I never thought you could top the Sgt Savage episode for hyper targeting me, but this one did it! I was the exact perfect audience Hasbro was hoping to reach with these figures and the Street Fighter cast was completely linked into my G.I.Joe world as a kid. It would be incredible if Super7 could branch their O-ring line out sooner than later to eventually get us Cammy!

I will never not be bitter we did not get Cammy. Little me could picture the figure clear as day in my head what it would look like hanging on the shelf. It felt like a lifetime of waiting those few years in the mid 90s and it never happened.

Thank you for all the research you and Phil put into these videos. I was still into GI Joe int the 90s, but was not into fighting games, so I passed these right by back in the day. The few I've picked up so far since then have been fun, and I've got a complete character set along with all the vehicles as one of the goals on my collection list.

Nice. Never understood why Ace had a "flight level 990" pressure suit when flying an F-14, when his primary mission was close air support, though. Shoulda been kitted out like Maverick & Goose (more like Wild Bill's flight suit, except with Helmet and oxygen mask.) If only Top Gun had been released 3 years earlier, I suppose...?

1st thing i gotta say is thank you Sir for a great informative video on a character that i like alot Sgt Savage!!! Salute 2u. I bought and own all of Sgt Savage toy line and wish it would have continued, especially the 12inch Savage figure with the awesome head sculpt that fit in nicely with the 12inch gijoe HoF figures. Wish they would've made the rest of the eagles in 12inch form. I didn't care that they weren't the same size as the 3 3/4 figures. Look at the detail on a sgt savage 5inch fig compared to the smaller gijoe. Especially the head sculpts doesn't even compare!!! Listen I love everything gijoe its my favorite toyline of all time sjnce da early 70s and Savage is gijoe 2 me. I seriously hope that hasbros gijoe classified team gives us some Sgt Savage screaming eagles figures. I can only hope🙏😉 Luv dat t-shirt

Due to a long-standing internal bias I hold against NECA (particularly regarding quality control), I find it a bit annoying that one proves to be the best of the lot. More so that I have no viable dispute to your findings.
