My first day was 11/2/99! We had no phones, no cd player, no magazines, No tv, No nothing! We didn't have busses. We had mf cattlecars!! Got us all the way to the mf shark attack! Our open bay area is where we slept through basic and AIT. From what I have been told by a first sergeant that went through basic with me, and what I have seen the base is absolutely nothing like it used to be! Everything is modernized and upgraded. When I got to the 43rdAG the barracks were WWII and only had cold water. I see all of this cell phones out, headset wearing in the evening shit, DS being all fuckin relaxed like they are looking for a date instead of training. I have deployed, It's a rude awakening when all of a sudden things aren't quite so fuckin soft! All I can say to the newbies is take every bit of it in! Apparently the DS wont but take it serious. On deployment it is a matter of life and death. I know it gets boring. But it's worth it when that time comes!

My daughter left 8/09/21 PM 31 BRAVO to Fort Leonard flight was cancelled at 6pm then she left Tampa Florida at 930pm. Last phone call was 08/10 at 3 am Missouri 20 second only she ( said mom am here in Spanish ) and that all. I am so disappoint so sad But I am understantd , I am pray for her. She Love be part of United States Army, so she left so happy. I know she is very strong, but I put my daughter in the Holy Lord hands. I am crying sometime but I trust in my Lord she will be successful.

How is it?! I’m about to ship out next month for same mos too! Do you get your phone in AIT? Can you wear your civilian clothes during the weekend? When do you find out your duty station?

@@Ana_dee ight I gotchu , bct is all mental but get physically prepared. Run every day for at least a mile. AIT is easy, hope to god you get Charlie Co 84th chem. Bravo is not so glamorous. You get phones from Thursday to Monday morning until you phase up. I just phased up today, now I can keep my phone and on weekends go on pass for 7 hours. Trust me it’s gonna be difficult in your head. Push through and find good friends that are always on time and are smart. You got this🤘🏽
