Love taking my young daughter (8) out fishing with with a whip just catching small roach, rudd, gudgeon and the odd small carp. Last time we was out caught well over 200 in less than 2 hours, the average was probably only about 2 to 3 oz but the little one had a great time and caught her personal best fish a 1lb 4oz crucian (my best crucian is 1lb 2oz) she also had the biggest gudgeon ive ever seen it must have been 2oz.

Whip fishing is a lot better in this situation due to caching the fish so close in and especially for speed as its alot quicker to set the rig

@@downtheedgeangling8639 Probably the reason you have never tried whip fishing with a waggler is because the commercially produced so called "whip waglers" just dont work properly,, I have made my own for over 30 years and had, and still have great success with them, especially with winter Roach fishing, but I use them for several different situations--including what you are doing there., if you have the time -have a look at this video showing how I make them,, there are also vidoes on there of me using them. kzread.info/dash/bejne/f2R6uLN_gcXNp7A.html It would interesting if you were to try them and compare it with the way you do it., Please dont think my comments are a critsisum, it interests me to know why a lot more folks dont use wagglers for whip fishing, I made the videos , to try and help folks catch more fish, and to put a different slant on angling, using very simple things,, I` am not after fame or praise,

Burton Farm Fishery is a cracking fishery pal. Fished there on the Wednesday you had the match on the main lake, I fished the hemp on whip and pole with some real quality Roach and skimmers. Plus the pesky carp moved in and after foul hooking 4 I managed to hook and land a cracking mirror on a single grain of hemp lol. nice video pal. Will share on Facebook.

Hello Rikki, Yeah I just checked out the line you are using and it sounds pretty high tech stuff with HMPE Molecules usually found in braid but the line is not a braid but has 50 % less stretch with 96 % knot strength. Writing this and nearly half way through but how come you ain't set up a pellet waggler at all, surely worth a plop on the pellet line and bomb ¿? Just looked at what I use and it's tried and tested and it's Maxima but the stated diameter is understated as I have done the actual real diameter. I normally use 6lb stated 0.22 big or snag waters 8lb at stated 0.25 and sometimes waggler at 4lb stated 0.17. Yeah get what you mean by them not having it on the waggler but some days they do! Now you are on your left margin but why not like a lot of anglers don't do the right,. Sometimes they only want it one side but look at the lad that smashed everyone up in the big final going left and right, I hold the pole in my left hand fishing left as was taught to so used to doing it and not fighting with the pole. At the end now but you on about the edge 》》》》 feeder plopped down there and no foul hookers then. Called fishing and not catching but sounds like you were plagued by the wind so even with good polarised wrap round glasses it's still not like calm water mugging. Great upload just wrote my thoughts buddy but gonna have a look at that line your using, especially for up water direct contact. Hopefully see you soon, on the bank! Tight lines 👍

Hiya matey, your best off sending this personally to rikki on Facebook and I'm sure he would be more than happy to have a chat with you, when i was recording that day many tactics went out the window due to conditions. Feeder was the main approach, he tried mugging a few times but the wind made it difficult and all the shallow fish where up in the other end of the lake. The margin however he tried the right one a few times but no fish thats why it didn't make the cut. I punched his brain asking so many questions but in that situation on that day on that peg there wasn't really much else to do but I'm sure rikki can fill you in more pal.
