  So happy to hear that this group has been formed to Save Nilgiri and Western Ghats. Please stop politicians to get land in Nilgiri and also please inform politicians not to cut Trees in Nilgiri and make the mountains Treeless. Politicians are creating big damage in Nilgiri by cutting trees and destroying Mountains in large scale. Also taking all the natural wealth from Western Ghats.

  I wish to share the documentary which was published in last 18th century. It is clearly states the settlement of Kov or Kota people of Nilgiri... poranganad mekanadu and kundanadu is the name of three Kota villages and as well as three devision (semai) name.. todanadu is other semai and it is toda people name... Kota and toda lived together in the higher area of Nilgiri and kurumba and irular tribes lived in the costal area of Nilgiri... These tribes set their village covering all the four division to protect the land from the invaders... And all the four division is named as poranganad, mekanadu, kudanadu and thodhanadu. And panchayat system was also followed for centuries... This traditional habitat protected Nilgiris from invaders for centuries according to Kota and toda tribes history.

  There can be multiple truths for one story, badaga language was the link language between the tribes, so from where did the badaga come from. Please do not conclude in a linear sight on history, history has multiple angles to it. The names are quite relatable and makes sense to me.
