Desperate for content? Ridiculous and pointless video. The best harness is the one most comfortable and in your price range. End of video.

The La Sportiva Spire GTX is by far the best shoe they have ever made and they discontinued it... massive fail. I literally don't like any of their other shoes, they all just look like running shoes. I managed to find another pair of the Spire GTX online and am saving them for the future but after that I am done with La Sportiva. Can't forgive them for discontinuing my favourite shoe.

Unless you have a flat you shouldn’t need sealant. Tubeless ready to technology is not ready. I regret going tubeless. And every tubeless I ever encountered had a Schrader valve.

My tyres have Giant sealant in them but switched to Muc-Off. Do I need to take the tyre off to get rid of the ole stuff before adding the new sealant? If so should I be fine topping up in future without cleaning the old stuff out if not changing brands? Already got the valve core remover but waiting on a tyre lever which makes it more of faff. New to this. Thanks.

ONE PROBLEM WITH THE BLACK DIAMOND JETFORCE SPLITBOARD IS IT HAS "LITHIUM BATTERIES " AND IT MIGHT BE A PROBLEM TRAVELING ON A AIRCRAFT WHEREAS "BACKCOUNTRY ACCESS " USES "SUPER CAPASITORS " AND THERE'S NO PROBLEM AT THE AIRPORT GOING THREW SECURITY .

This is a joke - no one wears boots any more, and especially not Gore Tex water proofing . AT Trail :: The majority of hikers prefer trail runners over other types of footwear. The number of hikers in trail runners has generally increased slowly every year. Almost 80% of hikers started in trail runners, with only 13% in boots at the beginning of their thru-hikes. By the end, those numbers shifted to over 90% of hikers in trail runners and less than 5% in boots. Another 5% of hikers wore low-top hiking shoes, two hikers wore sandals, and one hiker wore a high-top trail runner for the majority of their hikes.

Your take is quite interesting! In the past (until ca. 2012) a lot of climbing gym accidents in Germany were caused by beginners belaying with an ATC. That caused a shift in dogma and nowadays it is absolutely recommended by the German Alpine Club (DAV) to teach beginners on break assisted devices. The accidents of the past were just to numerous.

This video is filled with bad information. He did get the rocker lines right though. Some corrections: Dominant foot goes in back. Wakeboards are sized in cm not inches Foam core are less tough than wood Generally, foam for boat, wood for cable Fins for boat, no fins for cable

"Super comfortable right out of the box" 😂 I've been climbing for decades and have never found one single climbing shoe even close to being acceptably wearable at all. No climbing shoe will ever outperform my usual approach shoes.

I agree! No climbing shoe is super comfortable out of the box. Unless you try on a pair at least 3 sizes up. And that’s still iffy at best 🤣

I always buy Salomon. Always loved then. Then i bought the regular ultra x4 shoes.. and got blisters after just 4 kilometers.. They are the worst walking shoes i ever owned. Could be due to the shape of my feet, but it turns out i am not the only one complaining about this issue. So its not a safe bet. I thought it would be safe to buy Salomon as i always do. But these were a huge dissapointment.

In anchor #5 the belayer would only be on one point of safety, right? Shouldn’t they also clip into the master point? Also, would it be safer to build this anchor using figure eight on a bights rather than clove hitches?

Rather than "trad" vs "sport," what matters most is (a) rock type and (b) single vs multipitch. You can do multipitch sport on granite, or you can do single pitch trad on sandstone... and yes, there is single pitch sport on granite, I mean, that is most of Squamish...

Great conversation about the Resilience Project and the help it provides. Not just for the avalanche industry but people in general that are struggling with mental health issues. I see it being adopted in patrols and it's going to take a little time but I hope people will be showing up to work on those early mornings and check themselves before they head out the door.
