I love rain 😅 lol
The number one reason is if I'm not mistaken is it's 50 feet above sea level so it's unlikely to flood. I'm not going to ask you to guess why that is because you'll Just Google it. It was formerly a Canadian forces base. There are lot's of new homes. However the homes that were formally PMQ's are the good ones that actually have 2x6 construction. So all the yuppie folks who move out here should try to get one of those houses. I'm very thankful for your informative and researched video. GOOD JOB! Just out of curiosity....how long have you been a resident of our fine city? I'm going to guess not that long based on your extensive knowledge of the area.
Awesome video! Thank you so much for your knowledgeable information! Just wondering how long you've lived in our town? I'm just wondering if you could let us know why they call it Garrison?
We finally sold our place and purchased our roof top row home at Iron Horse
chilliwack is becoming over run by india (foreign workers) (crammed houses) which will turn this town into surrey and no place for canadian born workmanship. Cheap labour and competition will ruin this town.
Since yup Vancouver pe moved to chilliwack thre rent has gone up
The cows may cows may moo uthe smells for ever
Condering moving there from Toronto. I heard it is also snowy there. Are home owners required to remove snow within 24 hours after the snow stops? Really tired of shovelling snow.
I purchased a house on Promontory 20 years ago. I haven't moved or wanted to. Now. my house is almost paid in full which will mean being in a fairly nice area with almost no housing cost. Again I have no desire to move from Promontory like you claim here that "everyone" wants.. Why would I want to move away from a quiet area (VERY important to me) with great no driving required hiking spots, including to the Vedder River, when I am already a 5 minutes drive away (or a short city bus ride because there are buses here) from the places you have promoted as wonderful in multiple videos of yours? Sure there are valid issues with driving up and down a hill in the winter etc but I just found the negatives bizarre especially when other areas like downtown Chilliwack are where high levels of crime occur (and I would feel unsafe living in that and actually want to move which is why 20 years ago I did not buy there after a ton of research) but the downtown segment is all about how great the revitalization is. I think this video would be fine if all areas were more about the positive or if all the areas mentioned positives and negatives but they aren't....
Your comment has a lot of info that I've been searching for. My little family is thinking about moving to Promontory and it's great to hear good things about it. Do you mind if I ask you more about schools in the area? Is this a good neighborhood for new families?
How about the air quality in Promontory, Sardis, especially the manure smell? Many people complain about it living in Chilliwack. Is there manure smell in Promontory Sardis? If so, how long? Actually I am thinking about moving to Promontory from Surrey and like a new house around Crimson Ridge, Promontory. But I worry about the air quality and manure smell in this area. Could you give me some idea? This is very important for me to make further decision. Looking forward your response and thanks in advance.
What about that house across from the high school with crazy happenings day and night, crashes vandalism, mugging fights… there’s hours of videos on this platform…
That was Rob I. I think he moved from that area.
Excellent info! How many days in the year rains in Chilliwock? And what about the job opportunities for international workers? Could you be so kind to make a video of rent prices in the city by 2024? Thanks and greetings from Peru!
Yes ! .... District 1881 is close to the highway , if you consider almost 7 kms close . Only a mere 1 hour(ish) walk
Too bad I've seen the CCTV videos of Chilliwack.
I was there last night, December lights display was awesome.
Super helpful! Thanks for sharing this information with. us!
❤ Awesome ! I was looking for a video like this to send to people in South Korea. I adopted a rescue dog from there and I want to show them where he's living now . I think they'll be impressed...I know he sure is lol 😆 🐕👍
Ever see the security cam videos from Chilliwack? 😬
Great job Freddy V! Nice work! I agree Chilliwack is an awesome place to live!

Which areas would you avoid buying a home in Chilliwack?
It all depends on your criteria. Safety? Affordability? Walkability? What are you looking for?
@@LivingInChilliwackBC back and sorry for the delay. Looking for an accessible area for transit and walkable. When I look online, chilliwack has an F rating for crime, but a friend that lives there said crime doesn’t seem so bad. They mentioned staying away from 5 corners or 7-11 area. Looking for a TH.
Great video!
Thanks!
#1 reason to not move here is the religious zealots and far-right political agendas by our city council. There are over 175 churches in chilliwack who do not pay taxes and they don’t support the community as a whole. Chilliwack is the worst place to live
That sounds like a good thing
I like your vedio, and waiting forword more vedios!🎉😊
Thank you! New Video coming soon! 🤓

Could Fraser flood Chiliwack with global warming or/ possible earthquake? How is the air quality?
the flooding last fall was pretty rough. rip to all the animals :(
@@LivingInChilliwackBC I live in rosedale. pretty close to the bridge to agassiz
Which neighborhoods are usually hitted by the flooding?
Is there flooding area?
Great tour and very well presented Freddy!
