    The tip about drying the feral was very helpful for me. I’m a total beginner so when my brush suddenly got super wet 😢😮 I called this the mystery soak 😂. And I never thought to paint my coloring books 🎉! I just couldn’t get into color pencils because of the time it took!! Love this fun channel ❤❤❤❤

    Hi Regina, Im glad to have found your channel as your videos can help explain much of what Ive been learning by trail and error. I would love to watch you do an entire page, maybe in the Jade Island Escape book. Ive always wanted to play with watercolors in that book. Thanks for your videos❤

    I really enjoyed spending tonight with you talking art supplies while I relaxed and crocheted… and I subbed as soon as you mentioned Lindsay ‘cos any fan of hers is someone I know i can be friends with! And I appreciated your thumbnail, and the behind the scenes ending 😂 I also don’t know if you’ve heard of her… but Karen Campbell has some great learning to draw “Fun Fab Faces” books, a great personality, and KZread channel and website/courses as well.

    I'd love see the poster paint video, is it like a watercolour or acrylic paint?

  • @callettestudio
    @callettestudio5 ай бұрын

    Thank you for the suggestion! I feel it's more like gouache. It's water-soluble, so not like acrylic, but not transparent like watercolor.

    Perhaps you could mix the Gansai Tambi color with a bit of white gouache? The white pan otherwise is emptied too fast and white gouache is cheaper and easier to get. I saw a video on YT where the person used watercolor with white acrylic gouache and that seemed to work well. Thank you for making this video 🥰

    I don't have the Gamsai Tambi. I do want them. I love using watercolor in coloring books. I think the one I use the most right now are the Prima Watercolor Confections. And for metallics, the Coliro watercolors. I am enjoying your videos. Thank you so much!

  • @callettestudio

    Thank you for watching! They're fun to use, but you don't need them if you have a watercolor set already. The Prima Watercolor Confections look yummy, though! I always wonder if I should get them, but I have a limited space, and I have enough watercolor to last me a lifetime! 😄

    I always say:,,no one told me,how hard It is,to take care of myself" I have a loooot of art supplies but I don't create anymore. Sometimes I just organize my stuff but I don't have any creative spark anymore😕

  • @callettestudio
    @callettestudio6 ай бұрын

    Thank you for sharing that! Sometimes, when I don't feel like creating anything, I take out my supplies and randomly swatch colors on scrap paper. Something about watching the watercolor flow or hearing the pencil scratches on the paper is very soothing to me. Nothing to create, just letting the supplies do their job. Let me know if that helps you too!

    Not on books with thicker paper like this one (Johanna Basford's book.) If they have thick enough paper, the watercolor won't go through as long as you don't use much water. I have a video sharing my 15 beginner tips for watercolor coloring if you want to check it out. I hope this helps.
