Love ti's. Thank you
I loved this video. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to seeing more videos.😊
This helps so much! Thanks!
Thankyou for the great tips. I love watercolouring more than using pencils etc. Love your shading tips which I stuggle a bit with, but learning 😊
🙂
Missing your videos Regina! You are so funny! Hope to see you back soon :)
I love this video 😊 so much fun to watch and learn!! 🎊. I love gansai tambi 🎉❤❤❤ they are my favorite 😍! I am so happy to see that they are suitable for coloring books!!!! 🥰💕😎
The tip about drying the feral was very helpful for me. I’m a total beginner so when my brush suddenly got super wet 😢😮 I called this the mystery soak 😂. And I never thought to paint my coloring books 🎉! I just couldn’t get into color pencils because of the time it took!! Love this fun channel ❤❤❤❤
Great tutorial…thank you❤
Love this I like Arteza and I love doing watercolor in coloring books! No sketching required 😀
Hi Regina, Im glad to have found your channel as your videos can help explain much of what Ive been learning by trail and error. I would love to watch you do an entire page, maybe in the Jade Island Escape book. Ive always wanted to play with watercolors in that book. Thanks for your videos❤
I really enjoyed spending tonight with you talking art supplies while I relaxed and crocheted… and I subbed as soon as you mentioned Lindsay ‘cos any fan of hers is someone I know i can be friends with! And I appreciated your thumbnail, and the behind the scenes ending 😂 I also don’t know if you’ve heard of her… but Karen Campbell has some great learning to draw “Fun Fab Faces” books, a great personality, and KZread channel and website/courses as well.
Regina, I just came across your video and I loved your haul of books. And paint supplies. Thank you so much. I’m new at painting and the books you mentioned are in my list of buying already. Thank you so much.
You are so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I'd love see the poster paint video, is it like a watercolour or acrylic paint?
Thank you for the suggestion! I feel it's more like gouache. It's water-soluble, so not like acrylic, but not transparent like watercolor.
Would be great to see you prep your pages with medium and see some swatches of the Gansai Tambi.
Thank you so much for the suggestions!
Hi! I enjoy your channel. These are all great projects! I would like to see the watercolor paper prep mediums test first (and also see about Satin Glaze with alcohol markers), but of course whatever helps you get your mojo back is good with me because again, these all look really fun!
Thank you so much for the suggestion!
I would so appreciate you doing a video on the gesso, satin glazing liquid, etc. Be nice to see the different ones used and how they differ from each other, etc. Also as to which one would be best for the watercolor paints in coloring books.
Thank you so much for the suggestion!
Hello there. All your potential projects sound interesting and I would like to see them gradually done as per your ability and convenience.swatching the watercolours sounds good to me as a jumping start. Good luck with whatever you feel like to begin with and I look forward to anything you feel more enthusiastic about.
Thank you so much for the suggestion!
This sparked me to purchase the Art Nouveau colours from Kuretake for my colouring books! I’ve been playing with them tonight and you are so right - they work very well in my books :) thank you for this! New subscriber!
Thank you for subscribing! And yay, I'm glad you're enjoying the Art Nouveau! 😃
Have a sit down and flip through your completed projects, looking through them tends to bring your mojo back.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! 🙏
Just found you and have subscribed, loved the video and how you explained everything. I love gouache, just bought a small pack of schminke gouche for myself for christmas and havnt tried it yet
Thank you for watching and subbing!
I wonder if the white Intktense pan paint would work too?
Yes, the white pan works too!
Great! Thank you!
Thank you very much for this very informative tutorial. Having recently become more interested in coloring for self-care, I have been curious about using different mediums. After watching, I will likely invest in Gansai Tambi as opposed to a watercolor set.
You are so welcome! Have fun with your Gansai Tambi!
The diagram at 1:00 minute is an excellent way to explain the fundamental difference with watercolour. Nice!!😊
Thank you so much 😀
Me gustó la música
Thank you!
What an amazing collection of books! Definitely some new and interesting finds!
Thank you so much, Amanda!
Thank you for taking the time to explain the difference between watercolour, gansai and gouache.
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
What is that curved watercolor brush were you using? Thanks 😊
That's Princeton Select 10/0 Angle Spot Detailer Brush
Perhaps you could mix the Gansai Tambi color with a bit of white gouache? The white pan otherwise is emptied too fast and white gouache is cheaper and easier to get. I saw a video on YT where the person used watercolor with white acrylic gouache and that seemed to work well. Thank you for making this video 🥰
Oh, that's a great idea! I need to try that. Thank you for sharing! 🙏
You're such a delight! I watch mainly because of your charming personality, but your books and art supplies are interesting too! Very nice ❤
Oh, thank you so much! I tried to make the videos fun! Thank you for watching!
I don't have the Gamsai Tambi. I do want them. I love using watercolor in coloring books. I think the one I use the most right now are the Prima Watercolor Confections. And for metallics, the Coliro watercolors. I am enjoying your videos. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching! They're fun to use, but you don't need them if you have a watercolor set already. The Prima Watercolor Confections look yummy, though! I always wonder if I should get them, but I have a limited space, and I have enough watercolor to last me a lifetime! 😄
Do you have and use Gansai Tambi watercolor in your coloring books? Let me know in the comment below!
It’s been a long time since I tried watercolor on coloring books. I just got a set of Gansi Tambi and am excited to try it.
Yay! I hope you enjoy it!
Which supplies and/or books inspire you the most
For the supplies, I think the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Art Nouveau. For the books, Small Victories and The Sketchbook Idea Generator.
WOW! You have an AH-MAZING and FANTASTIC library! I'm pretty sure that if we were neighbors, we'd be BEST friends! 😊
Yes! Come on over and help me color these books! 😄
I always say:,,no one told me,how hard It is,to take care of myself" I have a loooot of art supplies but I don't create anymore. Sometimes I just organize my stuff but I don't have any creative spark anymore😕
Thank you for sharing that! Sometimes, when I don't feel like creating anything, I take out my supplies and randomly swatch colors on scrap paper. Something about watching the watercolor flow or hearing the pencil scratches on the paper is very soothing to me. Nothing to create, just letting the supplies do their job. Let me know if that helps you too!
I love the books!! I love watching art hauls and swatching videos,It's so fun to see what other artists use. You won't be disappointed with the paul rubens metallic set, they're very opaque and have a lot of pigment!!😊
Oh, thank you! I love watching hauls, too. Good to know about the Paul Rubens! Thank you!
what about poster colours ?
I just learned about them. I'm going to try them and create a video once I've played with them. Thank you for the suggestion!
I learned a lot from the video. The consistency and economical brush strokes helped a lot. Thank you!
I'm so glad it helped! Thank you for watching!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! The consistency and layers technique were the most for me!
Yay! I'm so glad you learned something. Thank you for watching.
What one thing you learned from this video? Let me know in the comment below!
It seems a perfect medium for backgrounds in coloring books. I usually skip backgrounds because they are a lot of work.
It really is! You can cover a lot of space pretty quickly!
I love Camila D’errico! I have all of her books ❤ yay! Ps I always love your videos you remind me of my quirky self
Alright I’ve made it through! Ooh girl how oh how do you decide what to work on first!! 😂 the sketchbook generator seems really neat! I’m surprised you didn’t have more supplies. I just started loving the mythographic series. I love that I can find them at Walmart too. I like to use my inktense pencils in them. I just picked up Labrynth tonight actually l….lol merry late Christmas to me! Oh how I wish blick would show up at my door like that lmao 🤣 tootaloo and don’t stop sharing! ❤
Thank you so much! Well, life is too short to not be quirky! LOL! 😆 I have no idea what to work on first. I might have to grab one at random and start. Thank you for watching!
Very fun! You are so funny! :) Love it! and I love the books. I never knew the instructional books on Gouache and Collaging existed. very interesting. I'll have to check them out as i'm interested in doing some of that in my coloring books. and your clipboard idea for watercolor paint is fabulous! I never thought of that and most of my watercolors are in tins so that might work out great. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! LOL! 😂 I'm excited to play with collaging. I got the gouache book to get new ideas for painting. I just posted a video on using gouache in coloring books if you want to check it out.
Great haul! Thanks for sharing. And that intro made me laugh so much😂 🤗💕
Thank you so much! 😄
New subscriber here! Your channel is great! I love your persona and your energy. This was a wonderful video. Thanks.
Thank you so much, Candice! I've been a subscriber to your channel for a while and love your vibe, too! 😃
That was a great video; fueled by the want monster. My Amazon cart just got really full. 😊
Thank you! 😊 But oh no! I hope your cart is not too full! 😬
❤ wow what an awesome collection you got! You’re gonna have so much fun! Enjoy ❤
Thank you 🤗
Do u have to put anything under the other page when u water color?
Not on books with thicker paper like this one (Johanna Basford's book.) If they have thick enough paper, the watercolor won't go through as long as you don't use much water. I have a video sharing my 15 beginner tips for watercolor coloring if you want to check it out. I hope this helps.
This video was sooo informative. I started coloring but wanted to mixed media color and learning for you do it in coloring 📚 was about watching alot of videos over the years but this is the most concise 1-stop shop video I've seen. Thanks for making it from my prior newbie colorist self to my now more seasoned (3yrs) coloring self.
Thank you so much for watching! I'm so glad it was helpful! 😃
