Glad you mentioned the price of plants even o. Low tec aquarium it costs alot
High tech aquariums cost a lot of money. Low teach aquariums are usually more affordable.
Awsome series. Cheers from France and thanks for the inspiration ❤
Thanks for watching. Greetings from Croatia.
Hi, how much time passed between the introduction of the Gourami till it's reign of nipping terror began?
It happened 2 weeks after Pygmy corydoras were introduced to the aquarium.
Wow 👏very good 😊cool
Thanks for watching.
do you think you could have success with both species in the same tank? Would there be any crossbreeding potential between these two species?
I don't think you can have success with both fish in the same tank. Microdevario kubotai needs a soft RO water and I was breeding CPDs in tap (hard) water. They can't crossbreed.

Hard learning to share :)
There is no sharing here haha. Cheers
So much character! Hilarious watching him come to the surface to get as much food as possible!
He is always hungry.
What I like about the aquariums that you set up is that they are always surprisingly pretty and pleasant to look at, there is a harmony in the shapes and colors, I don't know... the only thing I know is that when I look them, I always think that they are great. There is something special in your way of seeing things, and that is transmitted in your Scapes... you do not need to fill them with select plants of high requirements, nor do you use super cool style roots or stones... but nevertheless, your scapes I always like them, much more than many High Tech, it doesn't matter if your Scapes are simple or not... it is the harmony, beauty and naturalness that they transmit. I love your videos
Thanks for your compliments. I always try to keep it simple, relatively cheap and easy to setup and maintain. Cheers
Agreed 100%. 👍
Classic Amano shrimp
They are all the same....little thieves 🤣

I love buce. It's the perfect blending plant when most everything else sticks out like a sore thumb in color or texture - which is great, but sometime you need the quiet, filler plants too. 😎
Thanks for watching.

"He doesn't care." 😆 He'll have to work for his food again, though. I was half expecting Loosy to confiscate the second tablet as well. Even if the Cherry barbs aren't fully coloured up yet, I like their appearance. So many beautiful fish to keep, making the right choice is still the hardest part.
Cherry barbs are so simple, cheap and common but they have beautiful red colours. Cheers Frank
Also not shy, peaceful and an ideal part of a community aquarium. I will definitely keep them at a certain point. 👍
They are perfect fish.
Why don't you get rid of the snails?
I like snails.
Some of the C multidentata I bred lived 8 years, they also become more intelligent with the years, hand-feeding like puppies 🙂
Yeah they definitely live a lot. Thanks for watching. Cheers
What type of water fill/change do you have?
I am using a HOB filter and usually change 20-40% water weekly.
Hello Ivan, what dry food do you use for your fish?
Mostly I am mixing brands of food like Hikari, Sera, Fluval, NLS, etc. My favourites are Sera ImmunPro Mini Nature, Fluval Bug Bites, Dr. Bassleer Biofish Food garlic and New Life Spectrum (fry food). Cheers
@@IMaqua thanks
@@Nani-Lu you are welcome.
I am planning on copying this exact scape, could you please tell me how many stems of pearlweed and how many stems of stargrass i should order?
I didn't buy stems instead I got Tropica cups (1-2-Grow!), for this aquarium size (40L/10GAL) you don't need much. Probably 2-3 pots of Stargrass and 2-3 pots of Pearlweed tropica.com/en/plants/plantdetails/Hemianthusmicranthemoides(048ATC)/22879
@@IMaqua Ohh, ok tysm.
@@_storm4963 you are welcome.
Hi there I have hill streams and corydoras and one of them laid eggs, can you tell the difference between their eggs?
I have never seen Hillstream loach eggs on video, photo or in real life. I know they scatter their eggs and the eggs fall into the substrate. Corydoras usually stick their eggs on glass, wood or plants. My guess is those are probably Corydoras eggs.
Love all of your vids. Idk why but your channel is so underrated, youtube gotta do better.
I fully agree with you but unfortunately there is nothing I can do regarding that. KZread and the algorithm decide what videos will get pushed. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for watching.
I wasn't expecting the forktails to be so different to other rainbows. With so few eggs and a long hatch time.
Actually I am getting more forktail eggs than red neon blue eyes. I would say the hatching time is around 20 days aka forever. Usually one female will drop one to two eggs a day. Sometimes the eggs will not be fertilized and will catch fungus. Fry is growing very slowly. Because of all the reasons above this fish is usually pricey.
@@IMaqua That's really interesting. Shame about the green rasboras but it makes sense to do it.
Beautiful fish! In your grow out tank, what are the epiphytes clinging to? Will they root in the gravel, or will they eventually need wood or stone? The idea of an Anubias or Buce carpet is very intriguing.
In the video kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIOTu7eqhLzPhJs.htmlsi=gRB_4Z-Dh9LLqZ34 I explained how I made that aquarium. Anubias and Bucephalandra will spread their roots and rhizome into the substrate and apart from pulling nutrients from the water column they will pull the nutrients from the soil as well.
🐟
👍
Love psuedomugals. Have a dozen blue eyed red neon rainbows. They are so entertaining and beautiful. Good luck with the fork tails❤
I started getting fry from both forktails and neon red blue eyes. It takes forever for the eggs to hatch and for the fry to grow to sellable size. Thanks for watching.
This is really great! keep it up

Hydrocotyle is more than enough to create a shallow , what do you thunk
It is plants that will grow in almost any kind of aquarium setup. I used it many many times.
I'll say it again: the Guppies are waaay too cute. Pseudomugil and Laser Corydoras are very shiney! That's why I love dark backgrounds; it makes fish look good, and although I love underwater plantgardens, fish will always come first. Good luck with breeding them!
Even if you have a bare bottom aquarium just the fact you have black backtrack makes it look so much better.
That, and low light (I'm still waiting for Chihiros WRGB for the Rio 125, btw...). I'm taking my sweet time with building the UNS 60U. The original plan was too much of a mirror copy of the Rio 125. I'll be looking for additional rocks and roots.
@@frankvermeulen4621 my UNS60U is still unpacked. I need to think about what I will do with it.
Take your time. It will be worth it. As an aside: the small HOB-filters you use are Aquael Versamax Mini's, right? The sponges you put on the intake, did you make them yourself or did you order them from somewhere? I ordered 2 filters for the 30l Cube and the 45U (for when I rescape it) and I'm thinking Oase Biomaster pre-filter sponges could work.
@@frankvermeulen4621 yes that is correct. You can order the sponges from here www.garnelenhaus.com/fhochzwei/replacement-filter-sponges-10-mm-set-of-3
This tank was absolutely stunning 😍 I wish you could have just added some new fish to this tank. But I guess you have to take it apart so that you can get all the babies. Can you feel it when they nibble on your finger?
I can't feel the nibbles because they are so tiny. With each passing day they are getting bigger so I had to move them to a different aquarium. Cheers
This is beautiful! I think that he will be so happy here!
Thanks for watching.
Great setup and i love the goby. Is it better to keep them alone, or can they also be kept in a community tank in a group? I got some hillstream loaches, shrimp and pygmy corydoras in a 100x40x50 and am wondering if i can add one or more goby's :) Thanks
You can add a small group 4-6 for that aquarium size. Just make sure you have a lot of caves because they love hiding inside of them. Cheers
What type of moss in the front?
All the info is in the video description; if I remember correctly it is Weeping moss.
I love this! What Size and how many gallons is if?
All the info is in the video description. Cheers
Wow gorgeous. What kinds of leaves do you use in the tank?
A mix of catappa, jackfruit and pear leaves.

Name of the plant that is near the surface
Limnophila sessiliflora.

Wow wari buteful 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻😶😶😶😶👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching.
Too cute. 🤩 I love it when fish are not shy and flock to the glass when I appear in front of it. Penguin and Flame tetras are not shy, Lemon tetras are 50/50, but Corydoras, Ember tetras and Otocinclus run everytime, which make me sad. 😟 This was a great looking tank. I love the underwater flowers on the Buces. 👍
Guppies are never shy because they are always hungry. I had the same experience with Embers and the only thing that helped with them not being shy is adding super active dither fish. Cheers Frank
True. But out of the 5 Guppies I added initially, 2 jumped (1 at the beginning and 1 a few weeks ago) and 1 just died, a few days ago. I am reluctant to add new fish to that particular tank because it's in dire need for a rescape, but that can't happen just yet. Also, some fish in quarantine are still not looking good, and they're supposed to go in the Rio125, where everything looks good and I don't want to risk it...
Fully agree; better safe than sorry. I quarantine fish for a couple of weeks as well.
It's 6.30am in Malaysia and your video poped out and really makes me happy! I kept blue neon goby and trying to set one of the hillstream setup for them. I have my ideas now and will put more other gobies soon. Nice video!
Thanks for watching and greetings from Croatia.
how frequent are the water changes?
I am doing 20-30% weekly water change.
