What's remarkable is that Keith Harris is dyslexic and some would even say illiterate. He has an incredible memory and I would dare say he is an auditory learner.

Can anyone identify the narrator of this advert? I think it sounds like Michael Jayston.

OMG! I remember watching this as a little girl in 1985... TBH, it is not a classic by any stretch, but fond memories of my baby brother... I had watched the 1983 Christmas special with him as a 5-year-old shortly after he was born; he was a very poorly little boy his whole short life and had a lot of health issues, but for this special, aired when I was 7 and he was 2, he spent the entire show cuddled up to me on the sofa, laughing and grinning away while I spent most of the show eating snacks and drinking strawberry Nesquik... Unfortunately, my brother died of Reye's Syndrome aged 9 in 1992, when I was 14 - far too young for such a kind, lovely well-mannered and sweet-natured little boy... However, despite the fact that these shows have aged very badly, it's so lovely to reminisce on those days for a bit and remember when he was still with us...

When I was about 5 or maybe 6 with my parents and grand parents, we all made a visit to the Bluebell Railway and I had then no idea just how old it was? I know know you are the same age as me! Gulp! Well done to you all for keeping the history of Steam alive!
