  The NERVES! What an amazing band. Loved them since I got my hands on the, "Power Pop" series that came out on Rhino Records. Tracked down their EP and I wore it out.

  I heard of the Nerves 40ish years ago when I first got into punk rock, but I never actually heard them until about four years ago when I read Peter Case's chapter in More Fun In the New World and bought a copy of this album. Kicked myself for not hearing them sooner. Just heard Jack Lee passed away a couple of months ago. RIP Jack, you were amazing.

  I think Jeff Chimenti replaced the Dead pianist who died a couple years before Jerry did and GD was still together . btw , off the top of your head How many english words that have ch together in it that are pronounced sh ? almost all are pronounced ch as in church, itch, challenge, chunky, b!tch, rich, etcetera. Not many only Chevrolet or Chevy come to my mind and that's French pronunciation of ch with an sh sound . Chimenti is Italian and should be pronounced like Key men tea or Kee men Tee . I think it sounds better, jmho

  He was a good writer. Made a horrible next door neighbor. Truly a horrible, thieving, mean and nasty human. But a decent songwriter. Check out the Violent (violet actually) Eyes video on this page taken on the last time he treated his Bakersfield neighbors to kindness before peeling out in his broke down RV and stealing from all who showed him kindness and generosity.

  About 16 months in 2016 and 17. Next door neighbor gone badly. Haven't seen him since he ripped of his neighbors for money owed and sped off in his ancient RV without paying rent or any other loans.
