hi, what if i want to find second largest and second smallest
In a pivot table, you could show the values as Rank, then highlight the cells that have rank 2. In this video, I show pivot table Rank examples. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gn2uraiAac6ymZc.html On a worksheet, you could use the SMALL and LARGE functions, with 2 as the second argument.
So quick thanks for the info❤

Hi Deborah, great tip. You can also use count and average. But watch out, I always show this to my students, the formula for Average is wrong, it should take the average of the blue cells, not the totals. If all the blue cells are filled, its ok, but if you delete some blue filled cells, you get the wrong answer...😉
Thanks, Bart, and that's a great tip! - Debra

Can you believe I use excel since 1990s & I didn't know this! It used to take time to fit my pivots every time I use them.
Thanks, Yasser, and I know what you mean! It can take one minute to create a pivot table, and then 30 minutes to make it look good. I hope this shortcut will help you save time!
