  I mean, in New Vegas, you can clear out quarry junction with just a golf club at level 9, on the hardest difficulty, with hardcore mode enabled, no companions 😂(I had to lure them out one by one like a coward though lmao)

  Games have like a 15-20 year old shelf life. Even if you absolutely love them, they need updates after that point and even then at some point you just move on. I've done it several times now from different eras. Doesn't mean you still can't replay them, just it will be much further apart if you ever do. But the thing is how many 20 year windows do we even have in life? 3 truly great games spread out will probably take you all the way through life. It's troubling that new games don't have that same magic right now, I am hoping there's something that drops within the next few years that really captures my interest again. The last one for me was probably FE3H which is good but flawed. I'm going to still get more years out of that one but I need more than that soon.

  It's all well and good until you pick up the Fiend bounties from the NCR and need to keep the target's head intact for the full reward; being a pile of ash/goo tends to not make for good identification, and the NCR's stingy if they can't tell who's ashes you bring them are.
