The 'protection' arena isn't something im familiar with... I think i can see now the importance of people participating or training in that activity in a designated area... i mean zero hate or disrespect in saying that, only an observation...i never ever want to look back and ask myself "was i complicit in my silence" As someone in what one might call an advanced age 😅 this has become more important to me. You do a really good job of conveying "bad guy" vibes!!!

That guy does lots of fear mongering and uses lots of ad hominem and other fallacies as well as grouping all dog owners into a group called "nutters" to push his agenda. But if he changed the way he disseminates his info in a more factual way without all the name calling, he would gain more listeners. I was recently injured from a stupid woman who couldn't control her powerful staffy dog. I wasn't bitten but I got whiplash, pulled muscles and elevated pain from keeping my two dogs safe.

The negative part of purely positive training is not receiving a reward. The first thing you need from your student in order for them to learn is attention. You get attention through motivation.

There are no bad dogs, just bad owners !!! That is probably the most overused, inaccurate statement of all, Of course there are bad dogs, there is bad people isn't they, How we get serial killers, robbers, thieves, if some people are not bad, Jail never corrected them either, 50% reoffend. Most dogs can get trained /induced to be better but then again most people are not serial killers, there ARE some dogs that are Jerks and even worse.

How would you like to be tossed into the water until you break your fear? Maybe I can break your fear of drowning by holding you underwater. What's next get a shock collar to not fear electricity? I've trained dogs,positive affirmation works,force training is wrong.
@the4orcemultiplierАй бұрын
Let's see if I can cut through the irrational overly emotional response and have a practical logical conversation about this....is there anything you fear?
@Greg-cq8wgАй бұрын
@the4orcemultiplier Thank you for trying to educate the public on dogs. I disagree with your toss in the water method. I'm 66 and breed and trained dogs my whole life. When I was young ( inexperienced)I tossed a dog in the water. Traumatized the dog. I learned to gradually introduce a dog to water by starting in a creek,shallow water then go deeper over time,key point ...I got in the water and encouraged the dog in( leading by example). Do you teach your children to swim by tossing them in deep water? I taught a non water dog( chihuahua) to swim by doing the total opposite of your toss in method. Say what you want,never ,ever train by force.
