Thank you 😊 yes so many new sets & inks are just retweaked older ones. You can also most of them second hand at a fraction of what they were new. Always good to save some pennies.

@@kirstierhodes2058 possibly, whatever you use has to be very thin otherwise as the candle burns it doesn't burn the paper. Purely decorative wouldn't matter & for safety obviously candles should never be left unattended while burning. Thank you for your comments 😊 truly appreciated
Oh what a lovely layout design, I'll definitely have a go at this one, maybe even today as my husband is off on an overnight ocean fishing trip, so I have the day to myself with no interruptions. I love the sweet strawberry set and haven't used it for quite awhile, I'll have to pull it out again. You created two beautiful cards, thank you for sharing them here with us.

Thank you so much 😊 it is so difficult to please everyone. Lots of people complain if video too long & others like yourself just enjoy whatever I make & is never reliant on a time scale. So pleased you follow along & make some of the projects x
Personally I think under half an hour for a video is too short and anyone who complains obviously doesn't know how long it takes to make a decent card! Specially when more than one is being made! Thank you Jane, two brilliant ideas - I love strawberries (can't eat them as I'm allergic) because the flowers are so dainty and the fruit is really cheerful. Thanks for giving this a go for me! Such lovely card faces, I think I actually have this set as well. I have always struggled using butterflies, and I'm not sure why, but I will for sure pull some out and give this coloring technique a try. Thank you for always sharing such wonderful ideas with us Jane.
I do love butterflies & dragonflies (hint of upcoming video) & colouring them , & SU did some real beauties, so it was good to pull them out again. 😊
Such a cute card idea, and I love how you cut apart the cupcake to mix it up a bit. Not a set I have, but I know I have plenty with cupcakes in them. Thanks for another great idea for using our older stamp sets.

I'm really enjoying these simpler style cards using up some of our older stamp stash, this is such a pretty card. Sorry I've not be around, we took a cross country road trip to see my mother in-law for her 85th birthday it was a wonderful surprise for her having not seen us for 6 years. We drove 3 days out to Arkansas and 3 days back plus the time spent there it equaled about 11 days. Thanks for sharing your pretty card with us.

Jane, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful card with us, great idea for using the small stamps that we all have. It's so good to a demonstrator using the older inks and stamps, thank you so much. I've been buying stampin up for years and keep them all. Sadly, once they're no longer current stock, we never see them demonstrated again. It's such a shame as we still n eed talented creators like you to help us use older stock in a modern way. It is a very good sales ploy to retire almost all the stock as it means constantly have to buy, but agree demos never show old as dont make money on it. Having 300+ old stamp sets i will always use them & try & bring some fresh ideas. It is very popular as so many of us don't get rid of our stamp sets. Jane, thanks for your lovely reply. Understand what you say about sales ploy of constantly refreshing stock. Just a simple idea, but could demonstrators be encouraged to use older items along with the new ones. This would show the flexibility of the stamps etc making them an even better investment long term. Regards from UK 🇬🇧

Lovely card. I quite often colour the edges of my card base to save on using cardstock for a layer behind the focal point.

Morning Judy, hope you’re having a good week. Thank you for your pretty card, I’m so blessed to be part of your monthly church card group, all the way across the pond x
So glad the monthly card is a blessing for you! My monthly Encouragement Card list of 60 people who I believe need encouragement, is part of my personal ministry; it has nothing to do with the church other than some there may also receive a card. The list gets revised each year as new people are added for various reasons. In trying to keep it "do-able" for me, some are taken off the list as others are added. I try to start with 50, and let it grow throughout the year, as God leads. Another part of the "card ministry" is the 20 cards I make for children with cancer in TN, where I lived before moving here 8 years ago. I ❤ making cards, and sending them, and even at age 82, I pray to be able to continue as long as my hands, eyes, and mind hold out 😉

Hi Jane, you're a very naughty girl using the retired products and positively FORCING me to go buy them! I had resisted until the lovely beautiful medallions a few videos ago and I now fear I have started a trend again. I won't do it! I won't do it! To the naughty corner with you! Actually, I'm loving searching my sets to find what I have to replicate what you are doing. Sometimes the same type of image, sometimes not. I am getting a lot out of it. How about doing a series with a set for say, 2 or 3 videos, each using a different technique? That will slow the usage down and help them spin further. Another way might be to show a card sketch and use 2 or 3 different stamp sets showing how different it could look? Or maybe using the card sketch, how many ways you could vary it a little, just one thing at a time and see how long it takes for each evolves into a totally different sketch? Just a few basic ideas to maybe spark something you want to do. You can come out of the naughty corner now!

Instead of stamping your images on your strip of paper vertically, stamp them horizontally. That way you just slide your strip across, rather than having to cut off what you just punched and reinsert it to punch a new image; just a suggestion.

More wonderful frugal ideas, you always surprise me with the beautiful cards you make. I tend to cut all of my 12x12 paper down now to 6x6 and then I look for card designs that allow me to use every bit off the paper when cut to specific measurements. I do have some of that paper you were using, probably still in 12x12 as I found it too dark for my liking, but I'll pull it out and see what I can do with it.

WOW,I’m so happy that you’re using ALOTof retired stamps and inks! I haven’t seen anyone use crip cantalope and strawberry slush sense they 1st. Came out. They were the 1st inks & papers i bought when i became a demonstrator , can’t wait to make this card, thank you for all your inspiratown

Great idea but video very poorly focused.
Oh dear I’m sorry it appears poorly focused at your end. All seems fine at my end & just viewed it again & checked settings, which are in HD as usual. As I’ve recorded over 1k videos, I ve never had a poor focus comment before, so maybe it is something to do with your technology your end. Thank you that you thought it was a great video though 😊
I'll have to check, not found a problem on any of your other videos before. Might be hay-fever, it's that time of year. Or perhaps the glasses need a clean.

I have those dies but had no idea what set they were from as I got them in a 2nd hand package! Thank you so much for naming them for me as I can now try to find that beautiful stamp set!
