Lekker! Would love to join a surf session sometime
Always looking for people to go fish with JP. You are most welcome to join.
Awesome video
Thx Bru.
I would love to set my hands on that gifts
Lekker social vibe!
That klipvis with the orange tummy is edible... shame it was too small though.
What fish do u usually catch at that spot
In that area you can (not on the day) catch anything from a Galjoen to Steenbras and everything in between. Meaning, technically most the species listed for the Western Cape coastal zone.
@@FishingBruZA thanks.gonna try it out in a few weeks
The Catch and Release Notice Board clearly has the words "Applies to indigenous fish only" towards the bottom of the board. Surely that means that certain species caught at Zandvlei di not have to be released
Thx for the comment, here's a link for info zandvleitrust.org.za/archive/fish%20list.html is a good read for Zandvlei. "The Sharptooth Catfish, although native to South Africa is in fact an alien species to many of the waters of the Western Cape, it is proving to be a highly invasive predator." That's pretty-much the info I found with a quick search. Maybe there is someone out there whom can give us better clarity.
Bru! you blowing up the spots...lol! Love the betties bay beach...met Riaan Menser having a fish there once and was star struck. The first spot is it called "Die Spens". a now passed old timer steph in the town once showed me these spots and that was his favourit. Oh i dig the tunes baboons.
Yeh man, I don't get that side much. Sadly the conditions was not perfect but hey, we gave it the best shot we could 😃. Also, I worked hard on the edit to give a bit extra on Betty's as a destination.... Low and behold, gremlins had other ideas and I lost more than half the footage ( aerial shots ). So, definitely need to go there again.
Dude! I want to hear from you what you are doing, where you are fishing, what bait you are using, what you caught. Not a music medley.
My apologies. Wind on the day destroyed the audio. If I included it, the wind noise would have destroyed your speakers…. Or your ears. Upgrading the mic setup, so future vids should have much better audio. Appreciate your comment 👍.
lekker video !
Miss you brother
Смотрю с удовольствием
Спасибо 😁
Some more detail for the inexperienced would be much more helpful
Nice Terry awesome spot and lekker fish
can someone plz tell me that light that they are using and where to get it and how to set it up plz
What light are you referring to? UV light that makes things glow or spot lights? UV light I make for permanent mount on my H-Frame or you can buy a UV torch from any outdoor camping vendor. The Spot lights are LED spotlight and LED floodlight mounted to my H-Frame with battery pack in the frame enclosure.
@FishingBruZA the spotlight.....I've probably watched every chokka video but no one explains their light they use and how it's set up.
Birds flew over as you hooked your 2nd catch 😮
Fricken awesome! Nice catch! 😁🎉
Hoop jy het dit regtig geniet Mia
I would be less impressed if it were a 5kg fish 😂🎉 congrats!
Where do we get permits to fish there?
Post Office or online. Normal sea fishing permit, that's all.
What type of fish are in zandvlei and how do i catch them
Zandvlei species can be found here - zandvleitrust.org.za/archive/fish%20list.html Keep in mind that Zandvlei is a nursery and we should do everything we can to nurture it for future fish stock. Stywe lyne Bru.
@@FishingBruZA thanks for the information
Wayne Van Dyk commented: "Nice video, my kids love this squid catching videos, keep it up🦑🦑🦑🦑🦑. Where can I purchase a boat like that & what do u call it????" Wayne, thx for the kind words. The boat is an ARK Fishduc with a 4hp motor. New you can contact ARK Inflatables in Kommetjie or keep an eye on the secondhand market.
Awesome
What a perfect day. Thank you for sharing <3
What a skipper!!!❤ ...even cucumbers aren't that cool at Yzer slip and Dassen blinders in fog😊
What a beautiful place ❤
Yes, I am here.
Advice please (long beach simons town) was told you cannot fish on the right side of Roman Rock (stay on the left side).
Technically nowhere around Roman Rock. The reserve encompasses Roman Rock on all sides. Best is to get the coordinates from the official Gov Gazette and map it on your GPS or Google Earth to show the real coordinated boarders. They are quite strict (if someone calls in a complaint) closer to land. Specially in the vicinity of Boulders Beach.
Waar was Ek💪🎣👌
Awesome video. Thank you for posting rules /regulations as well.
Ata, Master FishingBru and MasterChef in one go nogals:) Lekker ouens!!
lovely video!! what were the conditions on that day at kalk bay? Tight Lines!!
Thx for the comment, Conditions was light SE just after a couple days of heavy SE. Wind dropped off a couple hours before I went there for a session to try for a cob. I had lines in before sun rise and left at about 9am.
Mac's Kob : Love a NW wind after a few days SE wind: Reefs on the right: And side channel on the left: Plenty Harders present: And Kobs come a "Bending the Rods" Also don't stay on one spot: When you not catching: Move
Great video! Great footage! Your production skill is noticeably improving. Thank you for the content 😊
Excellent footage. Well done. Thank you.
Awesome.
Any videos how you launch at Long Beach /Rules @Regulations please. Newby to the sport
I have some footage to make a video on that topic. Maybe not a bad idea, thx 😁👌

awesome
Wow! 😮 this is awesome
Thanks! 😄
Nice to see them hunt need them like that at Simon’s town
Next vid will be more focused on how they toy/hit the jigs.
@@FishingBruZA ur previous video is awesome can’t wait to be on the water again do u need skippers at long beach for something like that
@@rashied7192 at Simonstown beach specifically the vessel length (I speak under correction) may not be longer that 3.5 (it may even be 3.2m) and your motor may not be larger than 15hp. Normal safety rules apply which you can get from SAMSA (self regulatory). For this class vessel you will not need a skippers, only a post-office vessel license. The safety of people on your vessel and around you is always your responsibility, so it's advised your familiarise yourself with the rules set out by Government. Oh, I think it's implied that obviously you would need your fishing, bait and boat license all obtainable from your local but very bankrupt post-office.
Those conditions look amazing 😮 thanks for the upload 🤙
You left out the good parts of catching the squid and fish
😖Unfortunately recording with a phone does not allow me to record myself. Soon as the channel start to make some income I can upgrade to decent equipment and mount on the deck. Thx for watching and your comment. Inspiration to get upgraded 😁
Awesome surfski 😎
