With all due respect, this was supposed to be the music for an Holy Catholic Mass of Requiem, not some show...
Music performance is excellent. All that "acting" nonsense is highly distracting.
Que bosta!
Tremenda obra de arte 🤑🤑🤑
What Is with the set Up?
Overall, the singing and the playing were excellent. Part of the text was literally butchered. The symbolism was too primitive. I would have enjoyed the music more if I just listened to it and not watch it. I also don't see any rationale for switching parts, like putting Hostias right after Recordare. I believe in scholarship and research but after a point it becomes pointless to keep "innovating."
The pronunciation of certain consonants is indeed unfamiliar from the Western point of view. In the Western tradition, the Latin written text is pronounced roughly as if it were written in Italian (correct me if I am wrong). However, the Lithuanian tradition (which is perhaps shared with some other countries - I am not sure about this) of pronouncing Latin is different. That is just tradition...
I really don't understand this grotesque staging. I don't see the point, it has nothing to do with the score or its context, it distracts and embarrasses. The tempo is correct, I like the agogics of the choir. And then, enough with "luzeat" instead of "luceat" or "sparghens" instead of "spargens". You can't hear it.

Unfortunately, the last part of the trombone solo, in "Tuba Mirum", was cut (or maybe was not in this edition).
❤
Beautiful !
The most beautiful Christmas carol ever 💙💛 thank you Ukraine 💙💛
..... what....
One of the greatest songs ever written by the greatest composer who ever lived.
8 years, i finally found another beautiful choirs version of Air on the G.
This seems like a difficult piece
Beautiful
Beautiful, thanks!
will you ever perform this again? I would absolutely love to hear it in person

Mozart's influence on Sussmeyers cannot be understated. In fact Wolfgang, prodded, made fun of this assistant, Why? Because he liked him or he would not of been hired. Someone once said " we make fun of those we love most. There was assuredly mountains of discussions about this commission that is not written down. Franz has conveyed the best he could Mozart's intention with ALL HIS musical flaws that Mozart knew about. So he trusted him Right. As much as I love reading Richard Maunders book ( I have two copies) His attempt to finish it does not set my teeth on fire. A pastor of a church once said " because you come to church does not make you a Christian like wise if you stand in your garage on a Sunday does not make you a car either" Obviously it is the same with musicians. Sussmeyers flaws which Mozart was wholly aware of still confided in him. Yes, there may be a scrap or two of Mozart's discarded papers but he did not hand them over because they did not belong or were for something else. Do not get me wrong, I will read and listen to any attempts on try to get closer than Franz did to completing this most excruciating work. You will know it when someone gets a little closer to Mozart's intent but it won't be found in the sheet music, you will hear it and know it.

There has been speculation if the Introit is actually fully orchestrated by Mozart: the ostinato figure during the second "Requiem Aeternam" exclamation after Exaudi presents inconsistencies with the way Mozart developed it earlier, not to mention there is a change in the ink used in the manuscript. The Kyrie is also considered to not be fully orchestrated by Mozart.
You know nothing.
Fantastic - thank you.
Excellent performance despite the place they moved was a bit tiny. I loved their faces and the way of looking
I love this
I'm a bit confuse. If I may ask, Did Mozart wrote all that part of the symphony or just the Requiem aeternam and the 8 bars of lacrimosa part? It would help my reseach abou his life ty <3
There are lots of detailed discussions and research posted on the Internet about this topic, for example, kennethwoods.net/blog1/2009/04/05/who-wrote-the-mozart-requiem/
Maravilhoso. Bravo
What is the hymn in the middle of the Recordare and the Confutatis?
Offertorium (Domine Jesu Hostias with the "Quam olim" fugue)
it is wonderfully performed this way.
Jūs nuostabūs! Labai gerbiu Romualdą! Puikus vadovas :)
Šaunuoliai. Puikiai. Ačiū!
Tikrai suvirpinot! Ačiū!!
Puiku.
beautiful performance.. (un)fortunately I could NOT watch the absurd theatrics.

@@prager5046 and you are even smaller
This is so amaznig!!! Wow!!! I have never heard antyhing more interesting!!! This is amzaing!!! If only i were tihs talented...
Wow... Nieko geresnio neesu girdejes. Nuostabu!!!
Very Epic.
It should be performed only this way. Who would ever dare to "complete" Michelangelo's Pietà Rondanini?
Strongly disagree, Mozart intended this to be a complete series of choir and orchestra pieces for the Mass of the Dead. This means that the Lacrimosa ends exactly on the "Amen". Not before nor after it. Besides, I'm sure Mozart would've at least approved of Süssmeyr's rendering.
Did you ask Mozart through a Ouija board?
Hey, have you ever heard of historical context?
Amazing conception of this extraordinary work. Soloist as the choir fantastic. I must say that I have a very similar idea about this kind of performance. Bravi tutti. And the conductor: SUUUUPEEEER!!!!!!
This just makes me cringe..a lot.
Strongly agree
TOBULA!!!!!!!!!
