Bushcrafting, survival, hunting, and general redneckary. I do what ever I feel. Mainly I do this because I want to and if you want to come along for the ride that's just fine with me.
Your video is 3 years old, so this is a long shot. What size of pig nose bit did you use on the plate? Looks like 1/4 inch. Thanks.

All tomahawk's have a basic design. I know that Townsend's are made by a local craftsman here in Indiana. I try to buy local as much as possible.

Just curious, how's the small handle feel? Does the steel hold an edge? These are inexpensive hawks, it'd be great if they were actually good.

Feels great in the hand, just right. unless you have a massive hand and I do mean massive. As for the edge holding up I had to do a little work when I got it. This was just a finishing up the edge to my liking. After I cleaned up the edge I have not had to really sharpen sense. I have used the hell out of this and it has held up nicely. I will be doing a update video on how this has held up.

I have fired .380 and 38 special using the 3 1/2 inch chaszel chamber adapters in my zulu. ( zulu was just a trade name or advertising gimmick playing off the notoriety that bantu tribe achieved in 1879 when they defeated a british regiment, and killed the last Napoleon Bonaparte. ). I belive you gun was originally produced as a muzzle loader in 1857 converted to a Tabatiere breechloader sometime between 1867 &1871, then converted to 12ga after 1879. Thanks for the video.

Pull the charging handle out It has 2 modes Push it in for 22 shorts single action, pull it out for 22LR semi. Its the click clack, it cycles upon release of the trigger. Sorry to hear about your brother man. Thats rough.

The charging bolt was catching up from time to time. I replaced it and no more problems. It belonged to my father in-law and he gave it to my son for Christmas.

Very nice find, and if you want to clean up the rust on the barrel be for it pits any more than what it has a dermal with a wire brush attachment works very good for that and then just cold blue in that area it will protect it better. Looked like it shoots great. Again nice find good work and good luck.
