If nothing else Tony was razor sharp witted, his sense of irony and sarcasm were the peak. Damn good writing, damn good acting. JG and Proval playing their characters against one another was so great to watch.

I can't understand why David Proval is not a star. Ritchie Aprile is one of the few characters in gangster movies or shows that has real, psychotic menace about him, and it's all in those dead shark eyes. This is truly a scary man, petty, unsmiling, deadly. I wish he had been around longer, because he was one of the early highlights in Soprano history.
