This makes no sense. The Box gives a warning sound first.. if you not touch it again, it does nothing.. if you touch it after 10 seconds again, it also only gives a warning. If you are fast enough, simply throw it into the lake.. then nobody will hear that thing when the real alarm starts. It only makes sense on vehicles (like bikes, motorcycles, and so on).

It's been a shitty day at work and you just want to go home. On top of that, it's also raining heavily... You get out, approach your bike and wait for it to unlock... It does not! You get your phone out, open the App and tap to unlock... Nothing. You turn the Bluetooth Off & On again... Nada! You access the App again... Update required! You update the App ... "Updating Lock Firwmare, please stand by." Does that ring a bell? That's been my last experience with similarly annoying products! I'm not even going to mention how easily this signal/frequency can be cloned/hacked... I don't wanna say stick with the physical keys, because locks are easily picked... but I would prefer a 8-digit combi lock - sturdy and inpenetrable against screwdrivers and hammers. The alarm is a must!

Yeah what about electric full mtbs with integrated batteries? Straps don't work and no screw mounting???? I can understand damaging frame with carbon but alu?

with the lock set to the factory code, and the lock open, hold the button down and set the numbers to your desired code. Let go of the button and the code is set.

If you are referring to the bracket that mounts to the frame, the bracket comes with multiple shims for different size tubes. If you are referring to the shackle clamp that attaches to the lock, this can be tightened with a 2.5 mm hex wrench as mentioned around the 1:05 mark in the video.

Y'ALL.... I JUST MADE THIS EVEN BETTER (in my opinion). With the video audio muted, at the very specific start of the 7th second play on your phone with headphones the song "Snow (hey oh) by the red hot chili peppers. Absolutely fits perfect with the vibe of mountain biking.

hi. The diameter of the bike rack might be too small. We have mounted the bracket to the seatsays of a bicycle, but most racks might be too thin.

I found that my old ABUS U-Mini 40 fits well without the inlay for round shackles.

The cut straps (the end portion) should be placed in the 2 dedicated holes in the bracket, so you don't cut yourself.

Cadenas haute sécurité donc plutôt pour des vélos électriques, mais impossible à monter sur le cadre avec le matériel fournit puisque la batterie est dans le cadre! C'est le stagiaire qui a fait le job?

Just wanted to give a bit of praise to this system; I have this but with a big loop chain to go with it which is great if you want to anchor it. Mine has been tested in a real life situation as of last night; two people came on another stolen 125cc moped to steal mine which I bought 9 days ago (live in suburbs of London). I didn't put the chain on last night and was going to put my small padlock on but, decided to just put the disc lock on without the big chain. Without the chain you wouldn't notice it on the bike unless you knew what you were looking for. Anyway whoever it was they jumped on the bike which instantly set off the alarm, they must have aborted the robbery as they didn't even snap the steering lock. Not only did it scare them off, but once the alarm went off a second time, my parents realised it wasn't me and by that time (we are talking 20 seconds for the whole ordeal) they had jumped on their other bike and drove off. I am really happy with it's performance not only did it immobilise the bike; it scared them off and alerted the bike owner. In the situation they sat trying to cut off the lock with an angle grinder (which is very tight and tricky with this lock). I have some serious gear which would definitely stop their little operation in it's tracks.

Just remember they can still easily cut your brake disc in about 2-4s and remove the disc lock...

@@cheyou Yeah but they have tried stealing my bike at 4am 4 times now. Every time the alarm went off and they couldn't wheel the bike away anyway. If they spin up an angle grinder + the alarm it takes me about 5 seconds to get from top floor to bottom floor and then it's too late for them.

In the manual it says the too long ends of the straps can be hidden inside the case under the ABUS logo. But the straps are on the wrong side…
