Jenne Hatcher

Jenne Hatcher

I created this channel for my high school art students to access my curriculum outside of class. They came in very handy during COVID, and I continue to find them valuable still. I only wish I had time to make more of them! They are not fully edited or fancy, but I would love for you to like and subscribe, as it does help me build my subscription numbers to hopefully make money on them someday. :) Thank you

I know these videos are for your students, but these are exactly what I’ve been trying to find. Not even skillshare has teaching videos this good. Where do you teach and is it possible to register for your classes? I’ve been trying to draw a curling ribbon for awhile and they all looked terrible. After watching your video I have a ribbon that I’m so proud of and can’t believe I actually drew it. Of course I have questions and so badly wish I could show you my work and get your feedback on what I could improve. I lost my son, he passed away at 11yrs old. He was my only child, my best friend and the only family I had left. I got into watercolor and then wanted to be able to color my own drawings, so now I’m learning to draw. All the reasons you gave about shading, how it takes time and patience, are the exact reasons that I found some peace in painting and now drawing. When I’m so focused on what I’m doing it quiets my mind and let’s me get into a therapeutic zone. I spend several hours a day practicing, but I really long to learn where I can get honest feedback. Any information you can give would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi there Katherine. I just saw your comment...Embarrassingly, a year late. I really don't know much about running a successful KZread page, as I just post them for my students to help them if they miss class. I am so sorry to hear about your son. How awful. I am glad that you are finding peace in making art and that my video was helpful to you. I just teach at a public high school, so you wouldn't be able to register for my classes. I would be happy to provide you with feedback if you want to send me a photo of your work. I don't check youtube but you can email me at [email protected].
