Its amazing that Steve Smith and Deen Castronovo have such different styles but are both tremendously talented drummers. Three talented musicians here in this video: Steve, Randy and Neal. Wow!

He's great. An old school Devils fan. He was doing this chant starting back to the late 80s thru the 90s. Our season ticket seats were across the aisle from his. I miss those days.

Steve never understood pop music imo, that is why he sounded so good in Journey way back then. But since Steps Ahead and Vital Information, his two 'jazz fusion' bands, he can't play Journey tunes the same. I loved Steve and looked up to his style but now I am glad he is out of Journey.
