  I see many people not agreeing with necrotic but If you use Nechrochasm you have more access to that curse thrall explosion because poisoned ennemies doesn't require a precision kill, + those explosion are arc damage so you can get amplified if you kill a lot of ennemies. Not to also mention that if you just use arcane needle on a mob, the strand debuff will proc on repeat because necrotic will dot him so it charges the darkness bar more easily.

  I humbly disagree with arc super for this build. Stasis is the best crowd control super for warlock and does better than tickling yellow bars. Overall this build looks fun af tho

  @@sir_mcfer_the_69th34 you’re welcome to disagree but I will offer a retort it’s not meant for bosses. Like I said on the vid, it’s for cleaning up trash mobs + being on arc gives us instant amp from an orb via facet of purpose which in turn gives us damage resist from galvanic. winters wrath is just as bad on yellow bars and doesn’t have the same synergy with the fragments/artifact.

  @@mallen123 we were doing a damage phase test with a specific weapon (whisper IIRC) so no anarchy. So we just went to middle to wait for her and this happened

  @@SneakyBeaver ah, very strange to test any damage at kali, because she takes non-standard boss damage. As in, reduced body and increased headshot damage, divinity doesn't standardise the headshot damage quite back to normal, the only thing you can test at kali is how much damage something will do to witch/wizard enemy types, which is like 3-4 situations. Realistically if we have a precision weapon meta (like right now) whatever is best overall like witness/oryx etc is going to be even stronger at kali. Either way, testing at kali gives you numbers for kali/shuro chi/daughters and the end boss of the corrupted strike. And then that's only if the power cap for those are the same so 1945. Honestly best place to test rn is either oryx or cheese the witness to get straight to damage You're going to get very deceptive results testing at kali, any explosive or swords you test to compare will have hugely reduced numbers, and show whisper to be much better than it is in most situations compared to just spamming a gl

  Love the video and a very nice build, I have almost the same exact one but with HOIL instead of Necro and I love it. This on an unrelated note, but why do you say that Vesper on the class item sucks? You get everything that regular Vesper gives except for the increased regen (which can be compensated for, not a 100%, but still). I have a build with Spirit of Vesper and Spirit of Stag, I could make the argument that it is even better than og Vesper. It makes it so that my rifts do the shockwaves, give me Hellion, blind (if an arc super is equipped), heal, and provide the 25% DR. It really makes the rift a godly ability. I've been taking the build into this weeks GM with an Arc Conductor Ergo Sum and it makes it feel like a piece of cake.

  @@2xKH regular vesper blinds enemies, the class item version only does the arc shockwaves (or at least that’s all it states on the text) Originally I also had the stag + vesper combo in mind but then I read the text :/

  @@SneakyBeaver Yeah fair enough. However, the class item also blinds, granted you'd need to be on an arc super (which is the same for regular vesper). But yeah the in-game text almost never tells the full story nor does it do a good job at truly explaining how everything functions. I bet you must have at some point used/seen/heard of the Destiny Data Compendium Google Sheet. If not, I highly recommend it as a source for your build crafting. It provides more detailed info and reports on what the game omits. I've seen enough of your videos to see how creative you are, with a bit stronger data magic, you'd be unstoppable ;)

  Save everyone the time and just say you're too dumb to understand context and comparing DPS supers vs add clearing. equipping the super alone just for the free damage resist obtained through purpose/galvanic armor is enough of a reason to use it.

  I feel like the combo should be good on paper, but the fact that they nerfed the damage of necrotic grips on the class item basically makes it useless because the bonus damage from syntho barely makes up for the nerf. Yes, technically it's more damage but....

  I wouldn't go as far as saying its "useless". It ain't game changing but its helpful + there's other options out there if people don't prefer the necrotic portion. like inmost + syntho as a common choice for example.

  The Spirit version of Necrotic is so weak. I dont really see the point in adding a small dot to your melee that will instakill most things.

  The higher you go in content the less likely you one shot EVERYTHING in the room. Thats where the DoT can help. its not overpowered but its still helpful

  ​@@SneakyBeaver Sure i get the thought process, but Spirit of Necrotic feels weak in general. So the higher u go, the worse its gonna feel. And yeah any dmg helps, but it takes one out of your two precious exotic slots. Like yeh i could put a weak dot on them. Or i could just do another Lightning surge because Inmost gives me such high ability uptime that i can spam it.

  @@thereallaser5334 anything that you'd kill in 2 lightning surges would just die from 1 lightning surge and the DoT from necrotic just the same outside of a yellow bar enemy, its really not that deep. inmost syntho is obv good but not everyone will have that exact roll so this is just another option that can be used.

  @@SneakyBeaver Well if they wont die to a single Lightning Surge but do die to the weak Necrotic, they are basically so weak that your primary could clean em up. But whatever, agree to disagree. And yeah obviously if that roll is all u got, go ahead and use it. Syntho is the main perk u want, anything else will work i just think if u got options, Necrotic is one of the weaker ones.

  I prefer HOIL + Synthos for a faster melee loop but regardless it's a pretty fun build. It's annoying when you accidentally melee into a group of cursed thrall or explosive shanks but if you play it smart then it's on par with Titan consecration spam.

  Yeah i ran a Hoil Syntho build in this week GM and it did really well for the most part, but you really do have to show some restraint with all the explosive shanks lol. Damage is not quite on the same level as Consecration tho. But Titan has Knockout so thats to be expected. And in most content a Syntho Lightning Surge is still enough dmg to nuke rooms.

  I understand why this build is fun to mess around with, but HOIL/syntho does everything this build does but better. Also, no hate but your fragment choices are kinda questionable. I don't see the point of Facet of purpose when one lightning surge can also give you amplified. Sacrifice also has a simmilar problem because all you need to do is get a few kills with The Call or Lost Signal to charge the darkness meter. Why not run facet of awakening for free ionic traces and facet of dominance for that free weaken/jolt?

  I'd probably rather keep Purpose but switch to a super that actually, does something lol. As much as i love the idea of Stormtrance, its just so weak. I prefer Song of Flame. Mostly cuz its just a really strong super and restoration is nice from Purpose. But also cuz it fully refills your nade and melee energy on super end. So you basically got two ways to reset your cooldowns, either your Super or Transcendance. And with proper mods and fragments for high Super and Transcendance uptime you can basically just keep rotating Super and Transcendance over and over.

  1) Not everyone has the same exact class item. never stated this combo was the ONLY useable one. People can rock inmost/syntho if they have that instead. 2) Unless I'm missed something, lightning surge on its own does not give you amplified. That's lightning surge + electrostatic mind on arc warlock. hence having purpose on with prismatic to give it to you instantly and proc galvanic when you make an orb from the melee so idk what point you were making here. 3) Sacrifice makes perfect sense since I'm using outbreak and not call/lost signal so again idk what the point was here lol. Outbreak charges both meters very quickly, has unlimited ammo and hardly ever has to reload thanks to rewind and its especially helpful in activities like solo runs in lost sectors where you want transcendence up ASAP and your initial grenade & melee won't get you there alone. Also, you can make the argument for awakening if you want but I literally mention using dominance if you want the jolt or weaken for enemies like cmon now.

  @@thereallaser5334 Like I said in the vid, song of flame is clearly busted and I'm not gonna say you can't run it, I'm just sayingi it doesn't fit the theme. It also has somewhat of a limited range for the snap spamming as you'd need all the targets to be bunched up close together and near you to get the ignites rolling. and again, like I said in the vid, stormcaller isn't the greatest super but it can at least be a roaming super that clears waves at close and mid range. But people can run whatever they'd like, its just a base concept 🤷‍♂

  @@SneakyBeaver Just addressing point 2) here: On Prismatic only, equipping any arc ability or aspect allows you to gain amplified through arc multi kills (even just regular arc weapon kills). So the Slide melee is sufficient enough to get you amplified without the need for Face of Purpose.

  honestly, the fairest thing they can do is require still hunt to get more precision hits in order to get the super. you can get cayde’s fairly quickly, way quicker than you can get a golden gun back. you can easily pop cayde’s 3 times before you even come close to getting back your super
