  I heard this song on from a basement on a hill, and thought wow, his song writing is even more complex the older he got. Then I found out he wrote it when he was like 24. Just an insanely talented song writer. It’s a shame he has the stigma of being “sad” or “depressed” with his music, people who classify him as that and skip listening are missing the best songwriter we’ve had in a few generations.

  Id give anything to be here live watching him. Any fan would I feel. People criticise his live performances but I'd genuinely pay good money to hear this man mess up+change the lyrics, and be nervous, and play wrong notes. The point of his music was never performative or perfectionistic. He didn't have a huge band and crew, or giant screens and fireworks. Fans literally went to see Elliot, alone w his guitar, softly singing to himself and to them. I feel old asf and I'm 26 but this is REAL MUSIC 😂
