Love Dexter's outfit 😍
:) Thank you. It was the Indy Mutt Strut and we walked/strolled the Indianapolis track! He was decked out for his favorite driver, Will Power!

Pawsome 💞
Thanks. They were a hit with Dex!
@@CavalierTipsandFun those are the same oats as for the food with diarrhea for crockpot
@@stefaniesoto810 You can use quick oats for congee, but I use the steel cut oats for the congee. Both work.
I never thought about the evening being hotter. But I walk him twice and after sundown
Yea, just depends on the day. Sometimes after it's been hot all day and sticky, it's just too much for Dex.

That is so cute! ❤ Once again I'm guessing lots of practice to just hold the paw ... Hugs to Dexter for patiently shoeing us a fun craft! 🎉😊😊😊
Thanks! I taught him early about loving to be handled. Here's a video with Keishi. Now, he's a wiggle butt. kzread.info/dash/bejne/X3yHurGcgMXKadY.htmlsi=A8X31B4fpEUTpg04
Love that lick!
Hi, any tips of what to do if the puppy targets the human instead of the toy when we do this?? it's almost like she's fixated on the person as a giant toy and she wouldn't bite any other toy other than the human 😢. we would remove ourselves from her when this happens because at that point nothing will be able to stop her or distract her, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. once we engage again, she would fixate on the walking human toy again.
I get it. Puppies can be such spitfires. It's a matter of ensuring your puppy is getting lots of good enrichment, walks, sniffing time, training, play time etc. Synergy. They, continue with these tips. It's also nice to have a stash of new toys that the puppy finds super interesting.
Love it 😀
Thanks! A hit with Dexter!
Thank you for the tutorial. I really appreciate it. I have a laser that I want to use on my arthritic border collie. This helps a lot! ❤
I am so glad. Good luck!
Thanks for this trip, Tonya. I grew up in Northwest Indiana and spent a lot of time at the Dunes for many years. It's good to see that there are still some unspoiled spots. And yes, the naturalists will use those seats when they are giving tours and allow folks to sit down and rest.
Hi! Sure thing. We love that area.
Can the oatmeal be lightly cooked?
I'm sure you can give that a try. 😊
Please let me know how it goes.
That sounds great for the upcoming summer ☀️
I think so! I hope you give it a try. Let us know in our group if you do.
she is on fire. Is the give me paw 🐾 training good for that to ?
He is so foodie! Paw trick can help, but I've found that with a lot of dogs, they think it's over, want a treat and get silly.
he is not looking impressed 😅😅
hahaha He snoozes.
Thank you Tonya! I didn't realize baby steps started so small! I was trying to hold a couple seconds at the get go ...
Happy to help. The dog always sets the pace. If they aren't successful, it needs to be less/easier.
I'm gonna eat these myself.
Certainly could!
Dexter is a really good boy not being fussy and letting you do the therapy nicely. Thank you for the video! ❤
Thank you. He really is a special boy.
Awwwwwwwe cute puppy how old is he
He's now 5 years. He was around 12 weeks
My senior Aussie doodle really enjoys these. This is exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you!
Wonderful! Thank you. :)
I absolutely LOVE your channel. You remind me of how I think when interacting with animals and it's so informative! I'm doing as much research as I can because I want to get a Cavalier King Charles for my first official dog. Can't wait to learn more from you!!
Thank you. that means a lot.
where do you get your coq10 from . we always used 30mg soft gels, but I can't find them anymore

Wonderful video. It’s good to see people care to help there senior dogs.. have a comfortable last years.. My Shepherd is having trouble walking with his back hips.. it’s been a difficult month. Your video definitely helped and reassured he’s gonna be ok.
Thank you. Hopefully, it will help your GSD too!
is that one , the 2 tier ?
? It's 3 tiers.
I love that toy. the enrichment toys are the only ones she plays with
❤ it's a great way to learn play. You might want to try treat balls.
it looks like my aunts dog that got put down
Sorry for your loss. He's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Large for the breed.
do you use his food bowl or a different one
Different. 🍲 Bowls ➡ amzn.to/3RQrXdA
Clipping dog hair on carpet 😬
Yup. Easier on the dog. Vacuums work wonders.
Cool Thx! Looks like I have more videos of yours to watch!
hahaha Good! :)
Thanks for the video Have a great day.
Sure thing!
Super helpful! Thanks a lot! :)
YOu bet! Glad it helped.
I rescued a 6 year old puppy mill momma Cavalier King Charles recently. How do I train her to walk next to me instead of keeping her nose on the ground looking for things to eat and pulling in all direction.
Hi. Think of synergy when training. Hello, the laser wand you use is currently not available on Amazon -- any suggestions on an alternative brand or vendor? Thank you!
Sure, and thank you. I'll look and update. Give me a moment.
Ah, it is in the US. Sorry, not sure how to search for you in Canada. Here are the specs, maybe you can post them in the search. 🐶Dexter's cold laser therapy wand- 3R (class 3), 808nm, 650nm (Lastek Cold Laser Therapy Device - for Non-invasive Drug Free Pain Relief- amzn.to/3y2xggY
@@CavalierTipsandFun Thank you so much! I didn't realize it wasn't available in Canada as opposed to simply being out of stock! Probably something about shipping medical devices across the border or something. Anyway, thanks again and I will try searching for a Canadian source using the info you provided!
I just think the links I generate on Amazon are US based. ;) @@virtualcurbappeal8637
Which brand of CoQ10 are you using and what is his dosage?
You will need to talk to your vet about your dog's dosage. Here is the link to some of the products I rotate in Dexter's care. 💊 Supplement Support: amzn.to/3HSfgdv
He is gorgeous 🥹
<3
I wish I had a vet that is as supportive as yours. My vet does not like that I am feeding a gently cooked diet. It is well balanced, and developed by a DVM. Curious as to what vaccines do you give Dexter?
Ya, it can be tough. You can check out this website for a back up vet. alumni.chiu.edu/ I do not vaccinate Dexer. He had his puppy, and booster, then titers for a few years.
We have a bag of whole frozen sardines. I see that you thaw, portion and refreeze. Obviously us humans can't eat refrozen foods, I am guessing that this is OK for dogs ? One of our dogs (Cocker Spaniel) has consistent (5 years of 2/3 times per year) of ear infections and we heard that it could be his diet of mostly chicken based kibble, so we want to move away from that and include raw to see if that helps.
Thanks for your comment. I thaw before feeding, unless it's into an interactive toy, where I may freeze again Yes, a fresh diet can significantly improve their health and allergies. Do you know what your Cocker is allergic to? Switching back and forth from food to food usually isn't too helpful if there's a food allergy. You can read more about allergies in my article- raisingyourpetsnaturally.com/pet-food-elimination-diet/ ~Tonya
We dont know his alergy yet, we think possibly chicken or grains xo we will eliminate both for a month. He gets constant ear infections, vet thinks it may an allergy. @@CavalierTipsandFun
Could you tell me please, what is the brand you're using , and why? Thanks!
Sure. This is what we have: amzn.to/3y2xggY I had at least 5 Cavalier friends using it with their Cavaliers for the same condition that Dex has, with success. I would also suggest reading my article on choosing one here: raisingyourpetsnaturally.com/laser-therapy-for-dogs/
Do you remove any part of the fish before you blend it up? Like the scales or the head?
Whole, heads too. I purchase them from Hare Today (link above). I can't remember if they leave the organs in or take them out. Either way, safe to feed.
@CavalierTipsandFun Thanks for the reply. I bought a kg of frozen sardines a few weeks ago and was going to experiment to see how my dog liked them. Apparently, I have a much weaker stomach than I thought, and gutting them was a big nope. Your way doesn't call for my participation or deplore knife skills much, so that's how I'll be doing it! Thanks again
I double-checked and the ones I used were whole. Enjoy! @@bunniesarelove
Do you mean feeding the whole fish without removing the stomach filling@@CavalierTipsandFun
Yes. They are the whole fish.@@foxybuddy
Does this video have sound? I can't get it to work??
Yes, I just doubled checked, all good on the video's end. Maybe check the video, on the left to see if the sound speaker is muted.
