how come he steps with his left foot first to step outside the lead foot of opponent. I thought you had to move right with the backfoot first
First time seeing Marvin's videos, never heard of him. His style of teaching, however, is easy to understand and follow: technique, followed by a technical example--and it looks very effective! Thx!
❤❤❤
Does this even work for shorter fighters?
Amazing insights I've learned a lot and most important thing is that I have put this in practice and now my basics are just getting cleaner and cleaner much love and appreciation from Honduras in Central America
Oh my god, i've misunderstood "don't cross your feet" phrase for years 😢 Thank you
Ahhh.. Thought this was kicboxing. Was thinking if he done that hes going to have no guard from my kick to his legs. Take my thumbs down away.
I wanna see some body use this on Tank. He would be DONE
"Tasmanian Devil!" That part cracked me up 😂😂😂
Man this guy is a genius coach

Until mike tyson comes in the gym you bitch
I never noticed until now how the “true boxer stance” heavily resembles the Muay Thai stance
For ultimate power, your hips should be the driving force behind the four basic punches: jab, cross, hook, and uppercut.
great video

Naaaa , that move is for a advance boxer for a beginner no i would rather keep my stace bladed if i stepping around
Freddie Roach did say Manny Pacquiao turning into the inside of an orthodox fighter he considered it defensive in nature.
what about facing a southpaw fighter
I got a man crush on this guy no homo though but dude he’s Brilliant
So this quote coach as learned what he knows from KZread
Can tell you how much I appreciate this video. I have been doing muay thai, kickboxing, mma for years and never seen anyone explain it this well. This completely changed my striking. Thank you.
Outstanding. Great setup, excellent fundamentals, and most importantly really important brainstorming skills to help implement it into experience. Great video
Thankyou Marvin
Marvin please keep making these instruction documents They are very important for me
Can you show this technique being used in real speed or someone that’s done it
Just do a double leg (take down) 💀🤣 shiit forgot this was boxing
This man's lessons are very fundamental and really helpful for someone who wants to start boxing thank you coach
He's saying push off of your lead foot. But he's not saying that you also need to Pull the back leg toward you. You'll be soo much quicker if you push and pull with both legs
You can also try pendulum step jab with this. When you pendulum in and out with the jab on the way out you pendulum to the right and then pendulum back in with jab cross then duck out or pendulum back out after the cross.
Thankyou Mr. Cook. ❤
Good boxing coach 👍
Thanks coach !
You're off balance
Really love your channel you have tightened me up greatly
tq
So move in sideways position using your hips?
Just dont move your torso, simple
When I'm working heavy bag, I constantly circle left or right through combination to get the used to changing angle while throwing.
I always say the safest place to be is out of range or behind your opponents shoulders.

others teach u the move, he teaches you the system…
As most people are orthodox, angling to the right stays away from the power arm
Whats interesting being southpaw and working that angle, the jaw is at an angle. So when you throw a jab or straight, it swings the jaw like a KO hook. But if you just stay fighting square, a jab or straight pushes their chin more directly back instead of the swivel angle.
Good to see you doing good big Marvin. Miss you man holla at ur boy George makary when you get a chance
You have the best advice of any boxer ive seen on youtube please make more videos!!
