Just an advice, why do you shave your moustache rather than trim? Imam Malik considered clean shaving the moustache to be mutilation and would call the one who did it an innovator.

I am 22 years old and am the only Salafi in my family, have been looking to get married for a long time. There are not many Salafi families in my area my family also doesn’t really care about my requirements for a wife, they think me extreme in many cases, so I don’t trust them to find one for me. As a Salafi we are a minority and in many cases new Salafis like me especially ones living in America don’t have a community so it is difficult for us to find a spouse wether brother or sister. The only way we have is constant dua to Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala

My grandchildren, both girls, went with me to the masjid during Ramadan one year and they were surprised. Firstly because everyone prayed like I prayed. Alhamdullilah I am the only Muslim in their life and a niqabi. Alhamdullilah And after a long night of iftar and taraweeh and hanging out with the youth I asked them what they thought. Sadly they said "The kids here are no different than at school." Alhamdullilah It broke my heart. For them and for our Muslim children. Alhamdullilah I encouraged my grand children to help out as much as possible while being there. Distributing the dates and water, getting plates for the elders, you know just being a Muslim. Helping clean up afterwards. One of the principles asked me if they were my children and I said grandchildren. And she said, "I wish our children acted and helped out like yours." Alhamdullilah And again, my grandchildren are not Muslim. InshaAllah they will be one day. But how sad for our Ummah. How frustrating for me because of course I want my grandchildren to be married to a Muslim. Alhamdullilah And sad to say they both have taken a turn for the worse since that experience. Alhamdullilah Brother I don't normally suggest anyone looking at my clips. But I have a short clip about music, from my perspective that may inspire you and others. InshaAllah And to think deeply about why we are not to listen to it. InshaAllah My girls know that when they go to Nanima's house there is not music, TV, or cell phones. Just easy conversations and enjoying the simplicity of what Allah(swt) has given us. Ramadan Mubarak young brother.
