Kaspa, I stopped playing 1. e4 about 10 years ago because of the Sicilian Вrudgery (I had to learn a lot of "move-by-move" lines), I got at least playable positions in all other defenses. Thank you for the e4 - Bc4 -Qe2 system, I played against an approximately equal opponent on Lichess without much analysis, just by watching the ideas from your video. And the opponent's position crumbled like a house of cards (he played 2. .. e6 and spent a lot of time on each move)

So what if white plays 2. e4 ?
@kaspachessofficial3 күн бұрын
That would be a whole different opening called the French Defense. I will cover that in the near future.
@chrisdavis2161Күн бұрын
There is a way to avoid the French by playing the Modern Benoni 1... Nf6, followed by e6. (If they're playing The accelerated London they will allow this). Then you can pick back up from the start of this video because the game will transpose to that position. If they're trying to sneak their way into the London, the position might be a little ambiguous before you play c5. White is most likely trying to castle queenside and pawn storm the kingside.

hey my friend, i was the black , i ve played this gambit in a tournament, but i ve lost the game become he does 1-e4 e5;2- Nf3 Bc5; Nxe5 Nc6, and then he back his N with Nf3 and all your thoeries is ruined
@kaspachessofficial3 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear that, but those who follow my videos closely know how strongly I oppose using gambits in serious events. Gambits are determined by your level of skill as a player. What you do in the middlegame and endgame has minimal bearing on a Gambit. The goal of a Gambit is to sacrifice a free pawn in exchange for rapid development and piece activity. You may have lost your game because you played passively in the middlegame to equalize material when you could have been attacking all the way through.

I actually have been exclusively playing the Van Geet opening for about 8 months now. It carried my Lichess rating up to 2300. It's a seriously dangerous opening which most don't know how to handle. There's a decent Chessable course on it by Lawrence Trent for anyone interested.

The bad news are 7...e5, and white no longer has compensation. Schuppler played it against Diemer himself back in 1937; it was the Master's debut as gambiteer in his own gambit. Well, Diemer gave Schuppler's move an exclamation mark - and went out to win the game!
