I think mad men is the coolest show. I had a 30 day trial with my Amazon prime membership. It expired and now I can’t watch the rest of Mad Men!! I only got two seasons in and I’m hooked Ugh 😩

Sally going into the doctor's office in S4 ep 5 just breaks my heart. I dont know what it is, but I want to reach through my television and hug her, and tell her (cue Don), its going to be ok. Darling Sally.

If the show takes place in purgatory, then Tony is not only forced to live through his past actions, but also watch them over and over. It's when Tony is weak, i e. when he loses control of a situation in his life (ducks leaving. Can't whack anyone to fix that, mother too old to live at home, etc. ) that his observing self tries to take over and make him do the right things. That's why the panic attacks happen a lot more early, because he's still left hoping that he can become a good family man. He never changes though, and is trapped in a cycle between the first and the last episodes of the show. Or it's just stress.

Panic attacks can be horrific. When I first had one I thought I was dying. It was late at night and I was in a remote area and had no phone. My plan was to drive my car through the shopping centre doors at the supermarket I found and wait for the police to arrive, as I was driving over traffic islands and into the carpark I saw some night packers who ended up calling me an ambulance.

They way Mad Men works composition is just astonishing. The first time I saw it I was blow away of how many shots could easily be a painting you could have in your house. You can watch this series and learn A LOT of cinematography and "steal" something for your own work.

10 years ago this trailer was my first introduction to Breaking Bad and I was immediately hocked. Back in school when I joined the advanced chemistry class I was even called Heisenberg/ Walter White. When I saw how good of a scientist Walt was and how intelligent he could manoeuvre, despite all his short comings, I wanted to be a bit like him Today I'm close to finishing my masters degree in chemistry, yet I feel stuck and frustrated and have some doubts regarding my career, a bit like Walt in the first season. I also recently learned that I, as well, have a disease, which will significantly compromise my quality of life and almost certainly sent me into an early grave. I wanted to be like Walter/Heisenberg. I guess my wish was granted in a way.

When I started having panic attacks I felt like a freak of nature and very alone. Then I remembered Tony Soprano had them in Sopranos, and I felt better about myself. My panic attacks are high anxiety heart beating out of my chest shanking like crazy panic attacks, downward spiral of doom thoughts. Went to the E.R. twice before I knew what a "panic attack" was. I thought I was dying legitimately both times.

I consider it a source of pride to be one of those who cannot sing the praises of a show like Madmen enough. As a work of art it should probably be run continually on a fairly large TV screen in The Louvre in France.
