  I have a serious question: Is every person an artist? / Can every person be an artist? (2 slightly different questions I suppose but I would be grateful for your response and reason why.)

  This is a good question.. In my opinion. Yes & no really. Most people generally have access to some basic primal creativity which is our birth right & legacy as humans. Certainly as children. To be a real artist tho, you have to really find a way of bringing that originality & fire consistantly back from your internal world, from the universal collective unconscious waters to the cold light of day. You also have to be honest & frenzied enough to embody your own personal vision. Whatever that may be. You have to give zero fuqs while you're about it because no matter what, you will often only be judged harshly. Altho I wish it were not so, most true artists seem to always have some dark spectre of deep internal turmoil which follows them around. The thing that gives them their edge & simultaneously haunts them mercilessly. You can often see it in their eyes, in their lives/loves, usually in their work & their chosen poisons ofcourse. Not everyone struggles but a vast majority seem to. & those are just the ones we know of. Everyone seemingly wants to be an artist. It has an incandescent allure which never seems to fade. But few have the vision & stamina for it. Maybe the truly cynical one's can go much further in today's industry. There seems to be an energy exchange which can often take it's toll. You pay dearly for such gifts. Such is the way when you are truly touched by the fire.
